Another Year
Today is Christmas 2012.
America's Christians are celebrating.
For the Jewish community, however, it marks yet another year of fear and shame. For the latest in this tale of antisemitism and the cowardice of American Jewish Organizations, check out

Crazies With Weapons
The news from Sandy Hook was and is horrifying. Today's cartoon expresses what I believe to be a sad parallel. Not funny, but I felt compeled to make the point about crazies with guns ...or nukes.

Israeli Traffic Sign Cartoon (1975)
The Jerusalem Post recently did a piece to mark the Jan 1, 2013 anniversary of Dry Bones. (it will be the 40th). One of the cartoons they published seemed to be loved by one and all ...at least those who live here in the Jewish State. So I thought I'd repost this golden oldie from 1975 again!! Old Europe, New Europe
sometimes, when I want to have Mr. Shuldig voice my observations I use the device of having him explain human behavior to Doobie, his dog.

Evil
My job is commenting on the news. Somjetimes a daunting task. Like dealing with another American gun spree slaughter of schoolkids in another American school. Pure evil.

While Europe Sleeps

Khaled Meshaal, the Hamas leader in exile, has rejected any concessions over a future Palestine state at a rally marking the 25th anniversary of the armed Palestinian group.More than 100,000 Palestinians gathered in the Gaza Strip on Saturday to hear him speak for the first time in the Palestinian enclave."Palestine is our land and nation from the [Mediterranean] sea to the [Jordan] river, from north to south, and we cannot cede an inch or any part of it," he said." -more

Unnoticed News
I'm in an end-of-year news roundup mood. So here's my question; did this story (datelined Nov. 26) make it to your media source? If not ...here's what Reuters says:
- Norwegian police apologized for the first time on Monday for their complicity in the deportation and murder of over 700 Jews during the Nazi occupation in World War Two, just months after the prime minister made a formal apology. -more

Egyptian Struggles
I live in the Middle East and on my TV I watch as the Egyptian people decide what kind of country and society that they want to live in. What they decide and how successful they are at achieving it, will have an important impact on us all. I wish them and the country of Egypt well.

Oslo's Failure
The recent UN recognition of Palestine as a state ends the Oslo Accords of 1993. This cartoon is about one of the failures of the now defunct agreement.
