Chicken

Dry Bones cartoon, Sarah Sanders, Red Hen, Trump, Jim Crow, border=
From Eater:
The Lexington, Virginia, restaurant that kicked out White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Friday night instantly became the target of online harassment and conspiracy theories, and things have escalated quickly: Owner Stephanie Wilkinson is being doxxed, with users posting her home address and phone number on various message boards and social media platforms.
As Vox explains, “Doxxing is a common internet practice used to punish or shame someone and is a particularly common practice among the alt-right and other white supremacist organizations who operate online in places like Reddit, 4chan, and Twitter.” Last year, Reddit shut down three popular alt-right subreddits due to their members repeatedly engaging in doxxing.
Posting someone’s personal identifying information online is fraught with obvious danger, with victims often reporting relentless phone and text harassment. Doxxing is also sometimes accompanied by something called swatting, which is when someone uses information obtained from doxxing to report an emergency to police, with the intent of creating a real-life run-in with law enforcement for the victim. Amazingly, doxxing is in many cases perfectly legal.

King of Jordan Balks at Trump's Plan

Dry Bones cartoon, Jordan, peace, Gaza, Palestinian Arabs, Trump, PLO, Abdullah, Netanyahu, Bibi, Hamas, border=
According to Israel National News:
Trump peace plan delayed as Jordan balks at replacing PLO
The outcome of the Jordanian king's visit to the White House this week is crucial to the advancement of Trump's plan.
by David Singer

President Trump’s long-awaited plan on ending the Arab-Israeli conflict will be further delayed following a flurry of diplomatic activity over the past week.
Critical to the success of Trump’s plan will involve replacing the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) as Israel’s negotiating partner, as it has been over the last 25 years. The PLO, administravely known as the Palestinian Authority (PA) has cut its own throat by making it very clear it will have nothing to do with anything Trump proposes. Trump’s Senior Advisor Jared Kushner and Special Representative for International Negotiations Jason Greenblatt met in New York City on 15 June with United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres. The White House reported that they had a productive discussion about the efforts of the United States to promote peace in the Middle East and to meet humanitarian needs in Gaza. This UN visit was followed by Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu flying to Amman for a public meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah on June 18 – their first since 2014. Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Adnan Jundi, Adviser to His Majesty and Director of the Office of His Majesty Manar Dabbas and Adviser to His Majesty for Economic Affairs Mohamad Al Ississ attended the meeting.

Communiques separately issued by Netanyahu and Abdullah following their meeting differ significantly."-more

About This Book
A Message From Yaakov Kirschen

The years have rolled by into history. Back when we were new immigrants in Israel, before Israel became the "Startup Nation", we did our best to "fit in" to what was then a bizarre and small time country. We heated our homes with kerosene heaters and we spoke a pidgin English, we shopped at the Makolet, and dealt with bank overdrafts.

During this dimly remembered era, the full page Weekend Dry Bones cartoons drew us together. Our successes in "going native" were chronicled in pages titled "You know you've been here too long when . . . "

Those days and those cartoons, like our youth and innocence, are now long gone, but I wanted to remember. And so I put togther this collection of my favorite Jerusalem Post Weekend Dry Bones pages. I carefully re-layed out those giant one-pagers, keeping them full sized and spreading some of them over several pages of this collection. In the process of gathering the cartoons I was reminded of so much that I had fogotten.

If you were in Israel back then, you'll savor the remembering as much as I did.

A chance for us to take a pleasant walk (or shuffle) down memory lane together.

Looney Tunes

Dry Bones cartoon, Gaza, fires, kites, Palestinian Arabs,UN, UNHRC,
According to Israel National News:
UNHRC approves inquiry into Israeli 'war crimes' in Gaza, 29:2

The US and Australia were the only two countries that voted against the resolution.

"The UN Human Rights Council in Geneva voted Friday to establish a Commission of Inquiry to examine possible war crimes committed by Israel during the recent confrontations on the Gaza border. The resolution was approved by a vote of 29-2, with 14 abstentions, following a day-long special session in Geneva. The US and Australia were the only two countries that voted against the resolution.Germany, Hungary, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Croatia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Kenya, Panama, Rwanda, Switzerland, Togo, and Britain abstained. The Ukraine and Mongolia were not present at the time of voting.

Britain on Friday stated that it recognizes the "tragic and concerning loss of life" in recent Israeli-Arab violence on the Gaza border. However, it said it was could not support an investigation that ignored Hamas's role in what happened, since it would not "provide us with true understanding of accountability."Germany said during the UNHRC session that Israel must refrain from excessive use of force against unarmed civilians, Likewise, Hamas and the leaders of the "protest" must ensure that it remains non-violent, said Germany, which noted that regrettably, the text of the resolution does not adequately reflect the situation on the ground.

The "Palestinian" Ambassador to the UNHRC called peaceful demonstration an "absolute right" on Friday. "Israel and its defenders have given the impression that Palestine occupies Israel. How long will this joke continue?" he asked. The US representative to the UNHRC stated that Washington would vote "no" on the resolution and called on other member states to do the same. Israeli Ambassador Shechter called the resolution "devoid of any sense" and said it "deserves to be torn apart."

The US said that the resolution's one sided focus, and its failure to hold Hamas to task, evinces bias and calls into question the UNHRC's credibility.”

Crazy

Dry Bones cartoon, Syria, UN, United Nations, News, Wizard of Oz,
According to Reuters:
The U.S. State Department voiced outrage on Tuesday over the Syrian government’s assumption of the presidency of the U.N. Conference on Disarmament for the next month, saying Damascus lacked credibility to preside over the body because of its use of chemical weapons.

“We are outraged at the Syrian regime’s blatant disregard for human life, its serial violations of and contempt for its international obligations and its audaciousness in assuming the presidency of an international body committed to advancing disarmament and non-proliferation,” State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert told a briefing. “Syria lacks the credibility to assume the presidency.”

A Fabulous Moment in Israeli History

2018 is an amazing turning point in history.
On this, the 70th year of independence of the reborn Jewish State, Jerusalem has been recognized as Israel's capital. The U.S. Embassy has opened. On our border with Syria, the war to stop Iran's expansion into the Middle East has been launched. On the Gaza border, the frustrated Iranian puppet forces are being confronted. America is considering declaring the Golan to be Israeli.  A new friendly relationship with the Saudis seems to be quietly forming. A new Middle East seems to be taking shape. Like 1948 and 1967, 2018 (5778 in the Jewish calender) will be a year to remember. And to remember 2018 we're issuing the fabulous Dry Bones Jerusalem Mug!

The mugs cost $15.39 each. They are large (11 Oz) ceramic mugs with big, comfortable easy-grip handles. The mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe. If you don't get one now, you'll be kicking yourself for years to come.

Serving the Kool-Aid to Diaspora Jews.

Dry Bones cartoon, Hamas. Palestinian, Kool-Aid, American Jews, Michael Chabon,Arab, Israel, Gaza, Palestine,Terror, Terrorism,
According to Isi Liebler: "what is truly macabre is the behavior of sections of Diaspora Jewish communities. Fringe groups in both the U.S. and U.K. have been publicly demonstrating in favor of the Hamas killers and even holding surreal recitations of the mourner’s kaddish, naming the individuals killed. This is the equivalent of reciting kaddish for dead SS soldiers who shared the same genocidal objectives against the Jews as Hamas – truly a chilul Hashem, a desecration of God’s name.Even beyond this demented fringe, many Jews are publicly expressing grief at the death of the terrorists. Yet they do not express any sadness that our adversaries are obscenely providing human sacrifices by positioning women and children in the line of fire to capitalize on casualties so as to demonize Israel for public relations purposes.
Rabbinical sermons have referred to the bulk of those killed as innocents, even though Hamas leaders themselves claim that 85% of them were their operatives. On May 14 at its graduation and ordination ceremony, the Reform movement’s Hebrew Union College shamelessly chose as its guest speaker the fiercely anti-Zionist author Michael Chabon.
Anti-Defamation League head Jonathan Greenblatt wrote that “it is a horrific tragedy that so many people have been killed and wounded at the Gaza border.” Would Greenblatt have said this about the masses of Nazis and German civilians killed in the course of World War ll?
There is a serious sickness among Jews when so many feel more concern about the death of those seeking to kill us than anxiety for their own kinsmen."
