The Children

UNRWA Terrorists

UNHCR (The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) is the UN's agency to aid refugees .

However a different, unique, and special agency was created in 1949. It was called UNRWA (The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East). It's mission was to provide direct assistance specifically and only for Palestinian Arab refugees and their descendants in the Gaza Strip, West Bank, East Jerusalem, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria.

UNRWA is the only UN agency that is dedicated to helping refugees of a specific ethnicity from a specific region or conflict.

Selling Hostages

A "Sophie's Choice" is having to choose between equally bad choices.

We have Hamas trapped in Gaza and its only hope for survival is to use the hostages to break the siege.

Which presents us (and the other countries whose people have been taken) with a painful Sophie's Choice.
Will we choose to negotiate with the kidnappers? Will the world? Will the world turn against us?

Chutzpah

The usual way of explaining the uniquely Jewish word "chutzpah" is to say " there's a guy who murders his parents and then, in court, asks for mercy because he is an orphan. That is chutzpah."

Rethinking

The Hamas attack on Oct 7 was a "pogrom".
The word is Russian. It means an organized massacre of helpless Jews including looting, rape, and wanton destruction. Waves of savage pogroms hit the Jews of Eastern Europe in the late 1880s and convinced many that the only way to freedom and liberation was a return to our ancient semitic homeland.

Not so long ago, I was watching TV news coverage of the bombings in Ukraine, and I commented to the long suffering wife that it was hard to imagine what it would be like. To suddenly have your life derailed by a war thrust upon you.

Subterranean Commandos

Israel’s tunnel warfare in Gaza is being led by the Yahalom Commando Unit, the underground equivalent to undersea “Frog men."

These Israeli Tunnel Commandos are armed with Israeli High-Tech devices including ground-penetrating radar, drilling equipment, flying killer drones and unmanned ground vehicle robots armed with remote-controlled machine guns and grenades.

They have been trained for just this situation.
They are ready.
