The Jewish State and the State of the Jews

 Here is another Dry Bones cartoon by Kirschen. We had a relatively quiet night here in the center of Israel. Only two missile attacks from Iran. The north of the country had multiple attacks though, as was the night before. A missle from Hezbollah hit a home in Nahariya (a seaside town in the north).

But all of the antisemitic attacks in the USA and the rest of the world are very worrying. Unfortunately we seem to be getting used to it. I looked for a more "up" and inspiring cartoon for today. I might need to post two. Sending love from a weary, sleepless but very strong and resilient land.

Wishful Thinking, and hopes for a Peaceful Shabbat

 Here is a Dry Bones Cartoon from 2020. We are in the middle of a war here. These days, I always look around for where there might be a shelter when I am outside and am a bit reluctant to take a bus. (but I still do sometimes)

But, I see on the news and on social media that the rest of the world really has a distorted view of the whole situation. And I think that a lot of it comes down to anti semitism, often disguised as anti Israelism. Wishing you all a very peaceful and joy filled Shabbat and weekend.

The once Proud Nations of Europe

Dry Bones Golden Oldie, by Sali the LSW. (Long Suffering Wife). Here is a Dry Bones cartoon from 2014. It is sad that this is true today, even more, and that now serious antisemitism has become part of the mix. In Ireland the Dublin City Council is re-naming the park that is named after a native son of Ireland and a hero of World War 2 against the Germans, and the 6th President of Israel, Chaim Herzog to be re-named "free Palestine" Park.

It is taking me much longer than I expected to recover from the sleep deprivation and anxiety of the last 2 weeks, But I finally slept through the night last night.
