Crazies With Weapons
The news from Sandy Hook was and is horrifying. Today's cartoon expresses what I believe to be a sad parallel. Not funny, but I felt compeled to make the point about crazies with guns ...or nukes.

The entire world is practicing "Political Correctness" in fear of insulting the Muslim crazies - and they are all crazy. Any religion that states that everyone has to be part of it or be killed cannot be sane.
Of course, if Iran really does develop its atomic weapons, everyone will say "Oh that's terribe." Meanwhile, it is good business to deal with them. Lots of money to be made. Heavy industry - and the governments that support them the world over, is not looking at what's best for the world. They are looking for the fast profits. These profits will be worthless, however, when everyone is under nuclear threat. Then what? As "Bones has stated: "OOPS and DUH."

I have it on good report that Liberal/Progressives, both Israeli and American, suffer from the mental disorder Cognitive Dissonance, and are thus confused by facts.
There is no way that they can look at reality and realize what is happening in the world.
The result is blindness, political correctness, and foolishness.
They believe the violence portrayed by the media have no effect on already mentally disturbed persons.
Here in the USA our Constitution defines conflicting Rights. The First Amendment allows the freedom of speech that includes the right to portray violence. The Second Amendment allows the possession of firearms by ordinary citizens. The Founders believed that the citizens needed protection against enemies both foreign and domestic, including corrupt politicians and unruly government. (Here we are!)

Because no-one likes to think about their own imminent demise. Dum spiro spero, maybe?
And then, what if it's true ? - it means the start of WW3. We of all people know very well that Hitler could and should have been stopped before 1939, and we paid a terrible price to learn from history. The problem is that many of us seem to be afraid of crying wolf and appearing stupid...
Let's just carry on playing for time and hoping things will work out. The orchestra kept on playing on the Titanic, didn't it?
Talk about ignoring Bernard Lewis, you're very good at ignoring people too. What kind of answer were you expecting?
