Unnoticed News

I'm in an end-of-year news roundup mood. So here's my question; did this story (datelined Nov. 26) make it to your media source? If not ...here's what Reuters says:
- Norwegian police apologized for the first time on Monday for their complicity in the deportation and murder of over 700 Jews during the Nazi occupation in World War Two, just months after the prime minister made a formal apology. -more

Yes, I saw it here and I live in the New York area - maybe via jpost.com though.
It's a very astute observation and pointedly true and sad. Thank G-d for giving us strong fighters.
that would be a no - and i read 'jihad watch'. you have to wonder why now?
since the world axis is now Israel/good, every other 'power'/evil, anyone with a whit of conscience needs to support Israel.
My opinion - build build build!
and Remember how tiny was David when he whipped a God-shot at Goliath and ended the Philistine belial/moloch - at least for a round.
As Golda Meir said: When the Arabs love their children more than they hate us, we'll have peace (we could now ad when the Arabs and 'their morally dodgy supporters'...
Actually it was printed in Norwegian newspapers...however, our filthy pro-nazi government still haven't followed up on the Norwegian Police's asking for forgiveness...
Anyway: We (Norway) deserved it.

Dear Yaakov,
First of all, Happy Hannukah !!!
I beg you to please tolerate my opinion, which might eventually deviate a little bit from yours...
If in our heart we truly love HaShem and unconditionally support Israel, this does NOT necessarily signify that we must agree with every decision from the Israeli Government.
From my personal perception, it would seem that you sincerely support the present Israeli Government E-1 settlement plans, following the strategy of creating a permanent division between the West Bank and East Jerusalem... thus completely destroying any future hopes for Peace.
Indeed, the hardcore right wing political forces in Israel are shouting "build - build -build", completely senseless to the fact that they are sacrificing any hopes for Peace...
On the contrary, they are only producing more hatred, turmoil and division.
Please take in consideration, most respected Yaakov, that not every Jew in Israel shares this extreme right-wing political view... on the contrary, our world-wide beloved Yitzhak Rabin had a most profound vision and strongest compromise towards Peace... and he was MURDERED by the Israeli right-wing.. precisely for this very reason: attempting a lasting Peace.
There are both doves and hawks in Israel; today the hawks are in power.
In the past, hawks have killed doves who sincerely wanted Peace, and they might have no remorse in killing some more...
It would seem that hawks don't want Peace... for some strange reason (which personally I can't possibly understand), they have an agenda which is inevitably heading towards war. Then, young Israeli soldiers shall be sent to kill other human beings, and some will die following orders from their military masters... but not every Israeli soldier will agree that they are doing the right thing.
It is very true what Golda Meir said: "When the Arabs love their children more than they hate us, we'll have peace."
This is completely true!!!
Nevertheless, often the truth has more than one single color.
As a wise man once said:
"When the Israelis love their children more than they love their land, we'll have Peace."
Undoubtedly, Golda Meir was a very wise person. Yet, there's another person who's even wiser: our beloved Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Our Rebbe said:
"In these critical times, when nations are challenging one another, and violence is increasing in an unbelievable manner; the Jews have the power, to bring about peace in the entire world....
Ideally, a Jew should stand proudly before the gentiles, and explain to them the Seven Noachide Laws. Emphasizing that they should be carried out, not because they appear to be logically sound, but because G-d commanded them....
When a Jew carries out Mitzvos with pride, a non-Jew stands in awe of him and, hence, will not consider war."
Yud Tes Kislev, 5743.
Please remember, dear Yaakov:
"Am Israel Or Lagoyim"
Thank you!
Baruch HaShem !!!
Guess I don't agree with the previous writter. Jerusalem is our capital and we need housing, it is our right and obligation to build.

Dear Eleanor,
Thank you for your comment. Of course I absolutely respect your opinion about settlement plans in Israel.
I only wish to point that I am not against settlements in general, it is true that Israel needs more homes.
My opposition is specifically towards the E1 Plan, for its implications towards Peace.
There's more information on Wikipedia about the E1 Plan:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E1_Plan
Once again, I express my utmost respect to you and to all other readers who share your opinion.
And I had thought most Norwegians were good guys! So it wasn't just Quisling...
Sorry Danny Thomas I live in Israel and am FOR the E1 plan..
