According to the Boston Globe:
Kerry expected to play pivotal role in any Mideast talks
"WASHINGTON — "Secretary of State John F. Kerry is playing a backstage role as President Obama meets this week with senior Israeli and Palestinian leaders on the first foreign trip of his second term. But once the initial excitement of the presidential trip subsides, it will be up to Kerry — who has a deep reservoir of credibility with both adversaries in one of the region’s most intractable disputes — to try to build momentum and jump-start long-stalled peace talks, according to American, Israeli, and Arab specialists."-more

Yup. That's right. A plague of locusts in Egypt spilling into Israel's south.
Egypt's Locust Plague Threatens Israel
"A swarm of locusts that began in Egypt and has crossed the border into Israel is inviting comparison to one of the Biblical plagues of Exodus. The New York Times says the swarms are "... like a vivid enactment of the eighth plague visited upon the obdurate Pharaoh. Others with a more modern sensibility said it felt more like Hitchcock.""Locust clouds were darkening skies on Wednesday, three weeks before the Jewish Passover holiday that recalls 10 Biblical plagues, one of them locusts, that struck Egypt during the exodus of Israelite slaves," The Guardian said.According to Egypt's Al-Ahram, at least 20 swarms of locusts, each comprising up to 80 million insects, have invaded Egypt over the past three months and there are more believed to be waiting in the wings, so to speak, along the country's southern border with Sudan."- -more
Yup, in every generation they rise up to try to destroy us. It's one of the messages in the Passover Haggadah. The point,of course, is that no matter what bizarre reason or justification or explanation is given for the current attempt to destroy us ...it's an ongoing situation which each new generation of Jews must face and try to understand.

This is a sneak peek at the "Four Questions page" of the yet-to-be-published Dry Bones Haggadah. Our work on the manuscript is now just about finished. It's 104 pages, full color, full text, Hebrew/English, and every page is illustrated. After feedback from our Kickstarter backers, and after the text is properly proof read, we will mass market them for Passover 2014.Many fans and friends have complained that they missed the Kickstarter opportunity to back our Haggadah project and get a pre publication Haggadah as a reward, so the LSW (Long Suffering Wife) and I found a way to extend the opportunity.
