Here in Israel, we are getting ready for the new school year to start. The malls are filled with booths for school supplies, the local political campaigns are swinging into high gear with lots of promises the will probably not be kept, and we still have no idea what our situation with Hamas, Hizballah, Turkey, Iran and all of the Gulf states will look like in the near future. But in the meantime, I hope you continue to enjoy these cartoons.

Happy Tu B'Shvat!

Wishing you a very Happy Tu B'Shvat! The New Year of the trees. It starts tonight and is Monday, February 2nd this year. Also, traditionally, it is when the almond trees around Jerusalem burst into bloom, and is a very beautiful sight.

Also, today is my birthday! The first without Yaakov, so I am a bit sad, but very thankful for another year.

A Sukkot Tradition.

An important part of our annual Jerusalem march on Sukkot is the many Christians from around the world who participate.

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ) holds a Feast of Tabernacles on Sukkot every year. This year's event has brought about 3,000 Christians from more than 80 nations, including groups from Egypt, Turkey and as far away as Fiji, where a specially chartered flight from Fiji Airways made its first-ever landing at Ben-Gurion International Airport just in time to bring in a contingent of Fijiin Christian supporters of Israel who will, of course, be marching (along with Israeli participants) in this, our 68th annual Jerusalem March .

The Feast of Tabernacles

The Feast of Tabernacles? That's what Christians call Sukkot.

In Zechariah 14:16, the prophet predicts the future saying that “Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.” And so, fulfilling Biblical prophecy, thousands of Christians from around the world come to Jerusalem every year to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.
Events include a Jerusalem march of Christian supporters of Israel from around the world.
