I wish we in America listened to you in Israel more often...don't think we would be in half of the mess we are in now...from Military to financial to Political!!!
We have no problem with America as part of the family. What really gets us pissed off is mean, spiteful, underhand Uncle Barry who is a walking faribel magnet and who only shows up uninvited at family occasions because he is, after all, family (we think he was adopted, but nobody knows for sure).I can only quote the joke that ends: "MY uncle?? I thought he was YOUR uncle!!"
B"H - Love? Family? What a pathetic, pre-Obama-visit cartoon, faithfully towing the secular government's line! In politics there is no "friendship", only interests, said Henry John Temple, and of course he was right. Besides, it says in Numbers, 23:9: “Behold! It is a nation [Israel] that will dwell in solitude and not be reckoned among the nations.” Fear Hashem, our G-d, not Obama! Israel does not have and does not have to have "friends" amongst the nations. We have a more important player on our side: Israel's mighty G-d!
Barack Hussein "Pre-67 Borders" Obama despises Israel. His personal, though unstated, motto is: "The only GOOD Jew is a secular, liberal, Marxist, atheist, non-Zionist Jew." If you marry his ex-Secretary of State's Muslim girlfriend and text pictures of your private parts, you're good to go! Have a comedy show on cable and mock those who believe in God? Terrific! Make a movie about a great, God-fearing Republican President who ended slavery in America in such a way that it somehow makes Obama look good? TERRIFIC! (Bonus points for dropping F-bombs in it, which is the only thing that 13 and 14 year old schoolboys will take away from the film, according to my cousin's wife.)
With love like that......More like an abusive spouse I think!!
What I want to say - instead -is that I *love* your gentle touch in treating this sort of issues.Thank you for that from a liberal loyal reader of your blog, who does not believe that "the only good Jew is so and so" ;). Alas, there are also bad liberals, bad jews, and bad right wingers you know. We should not take things too personally (even though that is a difficult task) as ultimately nobody has the correct answer. G-d knows better, possibly.
One can choose their friends but not their family.
Well, OK, if you say so. Personally, that kind of love I think Israel can do without!
I believe this is currently a misguided statement. There is no love in our Muslim oriented president and our Muslim loving/Israeli hating DOD secretary for Jews and Israelis.May G-D save us all from their foibles!
bones, sorry, no love from USA to Israel, just nasty abuse.
There are people here in the USA who love you there in Israel. I am really hard pressed to find any in our government, though.

I started Dry Bones in Jan 1973. Since then I've been known as "Bones" to friends and colleagues. This is the first time I've ever shared the "stories behind the cartoons." Enjoy.
