The Saudis want to take over responsibility for management of the Temple Mount (replacing the Jordanians)?

WHY?!
It’s the very definition of a “hot potato.” Obviously something is going on, and obviously I don’t know what it is. One suspects (and hopes) that the Israeli government in Jerusalem is in the loop. What do YOU think?
