Rethinking

The Hamas attack on Oct 7 was a "pogrom".
The word is Russian. It means an organized massacre of helpless Jews including looting, rape, and wanton destruction. Waves of savage pogroms hit the Jews of Eastern Europe in the late 1880s and convinced many that the only way to freedom and liberation was a return to our ancient semitic homeland.

The idea that a beastial pogrom has ravaged Jewish communities here in modern Israel has shocked every Israeli Jew to the core.

Media Wars

Not so long ago, I was watching TV news coverage of the bombings in Ukraine, and I commented to the long suffering wife that it was hard to imagine what it would be like. To suddenly have your life derailed by a war thrust upon you.
With the rest of the world watching.

Suddenly Israel is at the center of the main story.
And apparently the Ukrainian President is worried about his ratings?

Blame Israel

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy is apparently positioning Ukraine to be the new Israel and he expects Washington to offer Ukraine security guarantees similar to those Jerusalem has received.

He also claims that had Jerusalem agreed to supply Kyiv with military aid, the Russian-Iranian partnership would not have emerged.

There’s a word for Zelenskyy’s allegations and demands.
The word is Chutzpah!
