Trump won't acknowledge that the Western Wall is part of the Jewish state. He's gone back on his promise to move the U.S. embassy to our capital city. Now he's cut his visit to Yad VaShem from 30 minutes to 15! The closer he gets, the smaller he looks.

My fight against the long, harsh, antisemitic, and unfair treatment of Jonathan Pollard has gone on for decades!!
I hope and pray that Donald Trump will now end this evil miscarriage of American "justice" and bring Jonathan and his wife Esther home to Israel.

According to the Times of Israel:
Senior member of Trump team said to tell Israelis: Western Wall is not your territory
In a bitter diplomatic incident, a senior member of the US delegation making preparations for Donald Trump’s visit to Israel next week angrily rejected a request that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accompany the president when he visits the Western Wall, and then sniped at his Israeli counterparts that the Western Wall is “not your territory. It’s part of the West Bank,” Israeli television reported on Monday night.
An official at the Prime Minister’s Office, apparently confirming the report, told Channel 2 that Israel has asked the Trump administration about the incident, and said that Netanyahu is certain that the comment does not reflect President Trump’s policy. -more
I find it uncomfortable having to do a cartoon defending the Jewish State against those who would mess with our Law of Return. It's more fun drawing cartoons to "Fight Back" against those who are against us and our Jewish State. So I'm now deep into collecting cartoons for a book called Dry Bones Cartoons Fight Back. I'll keep you posted about progress

Our one-day holiday of Lag Ba'Omer will begin tomorrow night, with the end of Shabbat (May 13). It is celebrated with bonfires and kids playing with bows and arrows. I love drawing happy holiday cartoons, so much of the time I use Dry Bones to "Fight Back" against the waves of antagonism and hatred that are constantly directed against us and our Jewish State. This got me to think about collecting cartoons into a book called Dry Bones Cartoons Fight Back. Maybe I'll do it. I've been looking through my archives. Some of the cartoons are funny, many are angry, none are politically correct.Meanwhile, may we all have a Happy Lag Ba'Omer!

Istanbul was the capital of the Byzantine Empire It was invaded and occupied by a Turkish (Ottoman) army on 29 May 1453. In 1930, a law was enacted in Turkey, according to which the city of Constantinople was officially renamed Istanbul. Hagia Sophia was a Christian Church which was converted into an Ottoman mosque on the day that the city was occupied (29 May 1453).

According to the Jerusalem Post:
A bill meant to anchor Israel’s status as a Jewish state in a Basic Law was approved by the Ministerial Committee for Legislation on Sunday.
MK Avi Dichter (Likud), who proposed the bill, called the vote “a big step toward establishing our identity, not only universally, but mainly toward ourselves, the Israelis, to be a free nation in our land,” a line from “Hatikva.” -more

According to Ynet:
UNESCO resolution passes calling to reject Israeli sovereignty over all Jerusalem. Despite the Foreign Ministry's best attempts to thwart a UNESCO proposal to revoke Israeli sovereignty in Jerusalem, the resolution passed—on Israel's Independence Day—with the support of seven Arab states; PM Netanyahu calls decision 'absurd,' while Pres. Rivlin calls to transfer all embassies to Jerusalem.
On the eve of Israel's Independence Day, UNESCO passed a resolution calling for the revocation of Israeli sovereignity in all of Jerusalem, despite Israeli attempts to convince as many countries as possible to resist. The UNESCO resolution calls on Israel, as the "occupying power," to cease "persistent excavations, tunneling, works and projects in east Jerusalem," which the Palestinians claim as the capital of their future state. Israel views the entire city as its capital.
