The Naive Newsman

I'm introducing a new character in today's cartoon ..."the Naive Newsman". He is "naive" because he does not know the politically correct rules of today's journalism ...He naively thinks that his job is to just present the truth. I've drawn him with his hair messed up ...he's frustrated, but he's doing his best, trying to learn the business.

The off-screen voice coaching him on "what not to say" is that of his director.

I don't know if I should continue using the Naive Newsman in the future. Your thoughts?

Human Shields in Gaza

Fathi Hammad: "[The enemies of Allah] do not know that the Palestinian people has developed its [methods] of death and death-seeking. For the Palestinian people, death has become an industry, at which women excel, and so do all the people living on this land. The elderly excel at this, and so do the mujahideen and the children. This is why they have formed human shields of the women, the children, the elderly, and the mujahideen, in order to challenge the Zionist bombing machine. It is as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: "We desire death like you desire life."

Battle Cry!

The constant bombing and terrorizing of Israeli civilians in Sderot and other towns in the Negev has not brought any media attention, and the pin-point retaliation by Israel has not resulted in enough innocent civilian deaths, so Hamas is apparently going to move from surrounding themselves with human shields to the more aggressive tactic of forcing their own civilians to draw Israeli fire.

Hezbollah's Human Shields in Lebanon

Hezbollah's strategy seems to be based on the concept that the more civilians that get killed in Lebanon the better the chances for Hezbollah to get international outrage going.
Unfortunately they can't even fool the UN!!

This week the UN humanitarian chief accused Hezbollah of "cowardly blending" among Lebanese civilians and causing the deaths of hundreds during two weeks of cross-border violence with Israel. He said this after a visit to Lebanon on his mission to coordinate an international aid effort.

Meanwhile, Mohsen Rezai, Iranian Expediency Council Secretary (and former Commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards) says that if Hezbollah's "patience runs out" there will be "chaos in Tel Aviv".

He doesn't like Condi's support for Israel and so he wants the American Secretary of State tried as a War Criminal and he calls on the "Legal experts of the Islamic World" to "Prepare some kind of legal action against her."
