 Dry Bones Golden Oldie, by Sali the LSW. (Long Suffering Wife) Here is a Dry Bones cartoon from 1996. Thanksgiving is almost the one major, family get together type holiday in America that the Jews can fully participate in, and we are very Thankful and happy about that.

 Happy Thanksgiving for tomorrow November 27th.  I have much to be thankful for. And I hope to be able to keep alive some of the Dry Bones spirit to keep up Yaakov's desire to help the Jewish People survive and thrive.

and ... here is a second cartoon for the holiday from 2013. This year, the 2 holidays do not exactly fall together but, here in Israel, all the bakeries are already selling "Sufganiot", (jelly doughnuts), the Israeli and Sephardic version of "Latkes". They both use a lot of oil to cook, which is maybe why they are traditional Hannukah foods.

Update: The orthopedic doctor says that my rib is probably broken, but that there is no point in wasting time to do an x-ray since there is nothing to be done but wait for time to heal. But I am actually feeling much better, so maybe it is just a bruise. I gave a very successful art lesson and lecture yesterday, and am doing another, now to be weekly lesson, to a smaller group today.

Hoping that "The Good" Guys Win!

I have not yet been able to get an x-ray to see if my rib is indeed broken, but that should happen today. Also, I am feeling much better, so maybe it is just a muscle sprain. I am supposed to give an art lesson and lecture to about 15 international diplomatic women tomorrow, and the venue is outdoors, but covered. The weather forecast, after many days of a major heat wave, is predicting thunder storms. So, it might be a very unusual and interesting experience. The whole adventure is a new and a bit daunting thing for me. But I am taking peoples advice to stay busy in the first year after Yaakov's passing. It has been 7 months now. Also, I finally succeeded in getting my spelling checker to work. Hooray! I am very computer challenged. But I have the excuse that I am old. 😊

The Two step Plan for Gaza

And international peace keepers understandebly not wanting to get involved in the mess. The crazyness goes on and on over years and years.

I might not be posting as much for a while. I stupidly laid on a hard foam roller in the wrong spot at the gym and seemed to have cracked a rib. So it is a bit harder to move around, and I have just started teaching painting to a couple of small groups after many years of not doing that. My schedule is getting crowded, and now adding a few doctor appiontments.

Newer:Kristallnach today also, plus the UN resolution that Zionism is Racism anniversary

Kristallnach was a 2 day event, so today is also the anniversary. And also, today is the 50 year anniversary of the UN resolution 3379 equating Zionism with Racism.  It is so sad and very depressing at the state of the world regarding Israel. Things that we thought would change for the better, did not. And these old Dry Bones cartoons still have meaning. 

Also, by the way, a fan and frequent donor has let me know that the donate link does not work.  Dry Bones has not gotten any donations for a while now (except for you wonderfel people who have made re-occuring monthly donations,) so maybe that is the reason. I have made a new link that works. It is not as short as the old link, but I am not as good at this stuff as Yaakov was. So please, if you have some spare funds, consider donating to the Dry Bones Blog. Yaakov did not have any life insurance, and we have and had no property, no apartment or car. He cared a lot more about trying to save the Jewish People, than about making us comfortable. He was a true idealist. However, if you are short of funds yourself, or have a more needy cause, don't over burden yourself.
