President Obama seems stuck with the dopey old idea that withdrawing from territory will placate those who lust for our destruction and that America can help by negotiating on behalf of the Islamic states that refuse to accept the idea of a Jewish State within their sea of Moslem dictatorships and theocracies.

It is not only Obama that is stuck with dopey idea of withdrawl...it is also in roughly 50% of the Israel public who lives by the way in politically correct Israel(Tel Aviv,Herzliya,Rananna...the ghetto strip), etc who believes in either partial or total withdrawl. I live in the so called occupied territories. I am treated differently when I come to PC Israel. I am question(not all the time) as to where I live, am I Israeli or not, etc. Sometimes on the bus, people are asked for their ID?! Police cater to the Arabs more, the Army and Police indifferent to their fellow Jews (except when they are tearing a home down...Jewish that is). On one hand, the government and other mental midgets talk about the how the territories are the root cause of all their woes and banter for some sort of withdrawl and "viable palestian state" and then turns around and has plans to use the same territories as a possible place for Jews to escape to in case of war?! Now, that is dopey.
The more things change...
Thanks, Bones.
Hussein Obama really is a Muslim as he talks to the Jews like they are his property.
When the UN gave the Jewish people at that time a Jewish Home land, the British Army gave the major part of the proerty to Jordan.
I regret to say this is all history now.
Hussein Obama must be stopped now, now is the time to get off the fence and take actions.
There's and old expression that for bad things to happen to good people. It's for others to do nothing.
Pesach Sameach.
We can only pray to G-d and hope for His redemption during this time of distress and disharmony amongst Jews of all ilk. The nature of the world and Israel in particular suggests strongly that Moshiach is coming VERY SOON. The Final Redemption will be a MIRACLE indeed!!! Remember what happened to those who did not merit redemption in Egypt...
What about Alaska and Hawai'i?
Alaska was purchased from the Russians and there is no eskimo national liberation movement as of yet. Maybe the Arabs will latch on them like they do with radical latinos in the U.S. Only say that Alaska(or whatever native name the eskimos have for it it) is Palestine. Insofar as Hawaii is concerned we took by political means and most native Hawaiians are happy, but there is a nationlist movement there...albeit small, very small. Please pass the Poy(sp).
This "cartoon" is by far one of the best political classics - ever. I actually hope that the Mexicans, French & North American Indians get it into their heads to do something about it - most assuredly they were blatantly ripped off by the expansionistic Yankees - far more so than what the Jews have supposedly done (bearing in mind of course that the Philistines are the usurpers defiling G-d's land He gave to the Jews, where the Yanks are just colonial old-world invaders who murdered and lied their way across what became the US). Oh that Bibi and Co would actually USE this map to remind the Muslim Obama and his wicked witch Hillary of THEIR true heritage - perhaps you could paint this map in glorious colour and sell massive big A2 or A1-sized versions all through Israel...
Israel must leave the "occupied" territories!. The muslims conquered it a while back and we all know that once some place has been conquered by Islam, it is illegal for the former owners to take it back,,,,,,,,,, D-U-H-! It's just not fair to Islam,,, ya get my meaning ? H-U-H -?-?-?-?-?

B"H - If you didn't draw anything else in your whole career Bones, this one would worth it. Thank you! I printed it out and stuck it up on the front door, so every time some one leaves, sees it and hopefully: think.
United Nations Secretary- General Ban Ki-moon came to visit Jerusalem this past week.
In the best traditions of Ko Ko - the Lord High Executioner in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado -Ki-moon set Jerusalem alight as his entourage trumpeted the words -
“ Behold the Secretary-General
A personage of noble rank and title-
A dignified and potent officer,
Whose functions are particularly vital!
Defer, defer,
To the Lord High Executioner!”
The Secretary General had flown in from Moscow - where the Quartet comprising the United States, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations had called on Israel and the Palestinian Authority to resume negotiations - declaring:
“These negotiations should lead to a settlement, negotiated between the parties within 24 months, that ends the occupation which began in 1967 and results in the emergence of an independent, democratic and viable Palestinian State living side by side in peace and security with Israel and its neighbours,”
It is hard to believe the Secretary -General - and indeed the Quartet - could spout such nonsense bearing in mind that the strict time frames laid down to achieve precisely this outcome in the 1993 Oslo Agreement , the 2003 Road Map and at Annapolis in 2007 had all come and gone with the same goal - the inappropriately named “two -state solution“ - never having got off the ground..
The Secretary General continues to demean whatever authority and credibility the United Nations might think it has - and the Quartet also does likewise - by seeking to pursue a solution that has no possible chance of coming to fruition.
A dignified officer the Secretary-General Mr Ban may be - but a decidedly impotent one for sure.
Our modern version of the Lord High Executioner had an additional message to convey as he made the short trip from Jerusalem to Ramallah to meet Mahmoud Abbas - the modern counterpart of Pooh Bah in the Mikado .
Abbas - like Pooh Bah - claims to be self-important or high-ranking yet possesses limited authority while taking impressive titles.
Abbas clings to the title of the President of the Palestinian Authority although his use by date expired 15 months ago. His Parliament and Prime Minister are self appointed whilst the elected Parliament and elected Prime Minister languishes powerless in Gaza.
Abbas has been politically neutered by Hamas and cannot guarantee the Palestinian Authority to honour any agreement with Israel.
Abbas still calls himself the Chairman of the PLO and wears two hats - one that calls for Israel’s destruction and the other that supposedly is anxious to negotiate with Israel and recognize Israel as the Jewish State.
Yet this is the man whom the Secretary-General comes to visit -taking the opportunity to repeat the following canard that has been part of the United Nations flawed thinking for the last 43 years:
"Let us be clear. All settlement activity is illegal anywhere in occupied territory and must be stopped."
Let me be absolutely clear - and let the Secretary-General use the vast resources at his power to prove me wrong.
There are no binding authorities in international law that support the Secretary-General’s statement.
TO BE CONTINUED..
CONTINUING MY LAST POST ...
There are legal opinions that support the Secretary-General’s view that are based on the provisions of the 1949 Geneva Convention.
The most notable of these is the “top secret” legal opinion given in September 1967 by Theodor Meron - then legal counsel to the Israeli Foreign Ministry - only retrieved by a historian Gershom Gorenberg when researching material to include in his book - The Accidental Empire: Israel and the Birth of the Settlements, 1967-1977 - which was published in 2007.
As Gorenberg tells the story:
"As for that legal opinion: It was written by Foreign Ministry legal counsel Theodor Meron, a Holocaust survivor with a doctorate in international law from Harvard. Meron was the government's top expert in the field. A decade later, he accepted an academic appointment in the United States and became a world-renowned authority on international law. Today he is a judge on the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.
His status gives particular weight to the words he wrote 41 years ago: "My conclusion is that civilian settlement in the administered territories contravenes the explicit provisions of the Fourth Geneva Convention."
Meron’s opinion - and others that support him - certainly must be considered. However they are not the be all and end all of legal opinions on the right of the Jews to build settlements in the West Bank.
There are other legal opinions - by people of similar status to Meron - that take the contrary view who determine that the settlements are legal based on the provisions of the 1922 League of Nations Mandate for Palestine and Article 80 of the 1946 United Nations Charter - two crucial pieces of international law that were not even considered by Meron -or as far as I am aware by any of those of Meron‘s opinion.
These differing legal opinions include:
1.The International Court of Justice in an advisory legal opinion delivered on 21 June 1971on the effect of article 80
2.Professor Paul Riebenfeld - an international lawyer who spent his life researching the Mandate Archives in Geneva and was present at the debates that took place at the San Francisco Conference in 1945 that led to the inclusion of Article 80 of the United Nations Charter.
3.Judge El Araby - a member of the International Court of Justice.
4.Eugene Rostow former Dean of Yale Law School and Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs in the Johnson Administration and Director of Disarmament and and Arms Control in the Reagan Administration.
The Secretary General would do well to heed the following words sung by Ko Ko:
“Wafted by a favouring gale
As one sometimes is in trances,
To a height that few can scale,
Save by long and weary dances”
Few can indeed ascend to the dizzying heights to which the Secretary General of the United Nations can lay claim.
However that position carries with it the responsibility to be very careful about what he says. Being scrupulously honest and unbiased - especially when it comes to the provisions of the United Nations Charter that he is sworn to uphold - is essential.
Wafted by a gale of Jew hatred that seeks the elimination of the Jewish State promised by the Mandate for Palestine and the United Nations Charter - the Secretary General has become blinded to his obligations.
If he wants to play the role of the Lord High Executioner and have people defer to and respect his pronouncements - the Secretary General needs to be sure of his facts before chopping the head off his intended victim.
I support this.
Not joking.
I first saw this cartoon in the Jerusalem Post in 1977 and have spent the next ±32 years kicking myself that I didn't save it. Thanks so much for posting it here now.
But but, you forgot the most recent land grabs-within the living memory of many Americans! Alaska was "purchased" from Russia, even though its "original resodents" were still there-and do not even get me started on Hawaii! We're just NOW sorting out the rightful occupants of that island, finally declaring them a nation. VERY similar to the Palestinians, since there never was a "Hawaiian Nation" encompassing all the islands prior to them recently discovering that there was-in Never-NeverLand.
Todah! Bones! now I can frame these!!
....bim'hera yavoh eleinu
yavo aleynu
im Moshiach ben David! im Moshiach ben David!
@moxadox
I think still reserve. :-)
Hmmm, seems America won't be like that. Still powerful so far.
how about if we let Obama know that he should give up his 'occupied territory' called the White House and give it up. He has gotten foreign money that no one cares to delve into deeper, he has spent well over a $1million to keep his birthcertificate a secret (where does he get the money to do that?).
If this analogy is accurate, then all of the people living in the occupied territories should be made citizens of Israel and hence given the right to vote.
Protip: the land was taken by force of arms, directly violating the law of G-D.
I would like to see this happen and support any action taken to make it so.
"Yes Israel is doing horrible things as well but America also did those things so there..."
-Bones
I was surprised you didn't use 4 frames like on 99,9% of the stuff you do even with stuff that only really needs 1 or 2 frames because you are a hack.
I had to think about why the analogy fails. It took me awhile.
Then, I saw one of the anonymous posts, and I was inspired. In the 'occupied territories' of the United States, none of those territories would vote to secede. Individuals in those 'occupied territories' enjoy full rights and responsibilities as equals.
That is the difference between occupation and association.
This land from the Nile river to the Euphrates river belongs to the Jewish people. from the time the Exodus from Egypt it was stolen from the Jews and with the help from G-D (who fraught the battles for us) He liberated it for us. Read your History!
It seems the cartoon and its meaning is a rather blatant attack on all Americans. Many of the commentators also seem to feel the need to attack every American.
I seem to recall that Israel was conceived by contrivance between England, America and the United Nations. It was to be a place Jews could call home.
I am aware that war was forced on Israel by a differing religious outlook and selfishness.
I am also aware that Americans were behind the forcing of other nations to accept Israel as a country. The Yanks went so far as to arm and supply Israel with weapons and intelligence to defend their newly taken land. I believed then, and now, that our countries need to be friends.
Please consider that when you go beyond political cartoons and attack Americans and be vicious in your remarks, you may be creating enemies where you had friends before.
The cartoon is funny. It is also well beyond the pall of honest. Some of the comments are shallow and hateful. Think it over, please.
Only an enemy of America would draw such an anti-American cartoon.
That's okay. All this cartoon proves is that you are an enemy of America.
don't be so paranoid. Obama wants peace and two-state solution and i think he'll succed. Beside, International laws should be respected. Period.
I'm willing to give my life to see this happen.
Return all stolen land.
Death to America.
Amazing cartoon! It is right on the mark.
Thank you-- I had missed your original. :)
I was also encouraged to see that three-fourths of the U.S. Congress recently wrote a letter in support of Israel.
http://www.jpost.com/Israel/Article.aspx?id=171945
Some (most) of us "Yankees" do support Israel, even though our idiot leaders don't. Please don't forget that.
Of course, the part about Texas becoming an independent country again would appeal to many here in the States.
Return all stolen land to the natives.
