From the ZOA press release response to the shocking UN Report:
"The very title of the Report - ‘Human Rights in Palestine and Other Occupied Arab Territories: Report of the United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict’ – contains a falsehood – namely, that Gaza is “occupied” by Israel when, under Article 6 of the Fourth Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, a foreign power is only considered an occupier “to the extent that such Power exercises the functions of government in such territory” – something Israel has not done since 2005."And also:
"the Report claims that “The data provided by non-governmental sources with regard to the percentage of civilians among those killed are generally consistent and raise very serious concerns with regard to the way Israel conducted the military operations in Gaza.’ Yet, as British journalist Melanie Philips points out, Israel provided a detailed breakdown of the Palestinians killed in Gaza and stated that the vast majority of these were Hamas or other terror operatives. Even the UN eventually acknowledged that some 75% of the dead in Gaza were Hamas terrorists."And:
"ZOA National President Morton A. Klein said, “The ZOA condemns this atrocious, new installment in the international effort to delegitimize Israel, using perverted and spurious norms of international law in order to invalidate Israel’s elementary, fundamental right and obligation to defend its territory and its citizens. It is nothing less than an anti-Semitic, Israel-bashing, immoral piece of trash. We are appalled that Justice Goldstone was willing to ruin his legal reputation by participating in this dishonestly-conceived and fraudulent investigation. It's about time the 'United Nations' got renamed the 'United Nations against Israel.' Sadly, that's about all the (otherwise useless) UN agree on and manage to take action against. There are actual atrocities being committed in numerous places around the world which they don't seem to care about at all.
It seems Goldstone is another antisemitic Jew.
Goldstone's report is anything but shocking, actually, for anyone who have read his South African report, written in "blame the whites" manner.

I'm a bit confused, even beyond what comes with being a Gentile. What other Arab lands does Goldstone think are "occupied"?
Our American Jews on the whole believe Israel is bullying the Palestinians without the report. How could one expect the UN Commission whose members are mostly biased and anti-Semites to prepare an unbiased report? Where was the Commission when innocent Israelis were being showered with rockets from Gaza?

Any land purchased by a nonArab from an Arab is defined to be an invalid sale.

There is nothing surprising about the U.N. which has been hijacked by Islamic states but Goldstone and his counterparts mystify me. There must be something in Jewish DNA that now and then produces anti-Semites. One could rationalize that Kapos in concentration camps were trying to save their own lives but Goldstone lives in a relatively free country. What could be his motivation? Could some Arabs have paid him off? Did he hate his mother? What is it that turns a Jew into a jew-hating monster?
Someone called Maurice Ostrove asked Goldstone why he hadn't taken testimony from the British Colonel Kemp, who (both during Cast Lead and more recently) discussed the steps that the IDF had taken to minimize civilian casualties. Goldstone's reply shocked me:
...there was no reliance on Col. Kemp mainly because in our Report we did not deal with the issues he raised regarding the problems of conducting military operations in civilian areas and second-guessing decisions made by soldiers and their commanding officers "in the fog of war". We avoided having to do so in the incidents we decided to investigate.
As Ostrove said in his response, "I have difficulty in understanding your explanation for not inviting Colonel Kemp to give evidence and in particular your statement that you did not deal with the issues he raised regarding the problems of conducting military operations in civilian areas. Is that not precisely what the Mission was dealing with?"

I assume that everyone commenting on this site is either Jewish or Christian. Yet, I bet none of you have ever rode a cab from Bethlehem to Ramallah and actually seen the settlements which have been, and are continuing to be, built; the massive wall which separates Palestinians from Palestinians; the security check point which makes one (anyone) feel like imprisoned cattle. It's undeniable to say this isn't an "excercise of government power", and the degree of retaliation is definitely not jusifiable on the basis of a 'security issue'. If that were so, and a Canadian terrorist sent rockets over to New York, then the U.S. would have the right to begin building on Canadian property.
My family is Judaic-Messianic. My mother is Christian. Would you call me anti-semitic if I don't agree with what the NATION of Israel is doing? It's political. It's not religious. When people learn this, then negotiations and concessions can be made by both sides. Halt the fear-mongering, if possible.

There is no surprise here. The UN has proven itself to be a largely anti semitic and anti Israel organization. I have written numerous times in the past to ask that it be removed from New York and that we stop paying for its support.
Chief amongst the rabble has been Russia, the country Odamnya set out to appease by canceling the missile defense shield for our allies.

The Human Rights Council has annulled centuries of international law - it has announced: "Terrorism Pays!"
In its zeal to attack Israel, the Human Rights Council has undermined the basic right of all states to self defense.
The above commentary is an unfair characterisation of the Goldstone Report. Goldstone agrees that Israel has a right to self-defence. His concern is on situations when the violence used was disproportionate to the outcome sought. He cited cases for this for both sides.
Richard Goldstone is a proud Zionist and great friend of Israel. It is because of this love that he wants to see Israel responsibly use power and protect the human dignity for all.
