Swedish Future

Sweden's Future is Islamist: Miss Sweden in a Burqa (or Burka) : Dry Bones cartoon.
The cartoon shows a future Miss Sweden in a burqa, the body-bag in which Islamists want to imprison all women. The demonization of Jews and the Jewish State continues in full force. The insane Islamist antisemitic incitement has now commandeered the European press. The end will, of course, be the Arabization of Europe. Here's Alan Dershowitz commenting on the latest outrage out of Sweden:
Sweden's shame over Israeli 'organ theft' nonstory

Why won't its government condemn the outrageous article that accused Israeli soldiers of harvesting Palestinian organs?

Cambridge, Mass. - "The Swedish government has refused to condemn a "blood libel" published by one of Sweden's leading newspapers, Aftonbladet.

The article claims that Jewish soldiers in Israel killed Palestinians in order to harvest their organs. The writer of the article, Donald Bostrom, has acknowledged that "he has no idea whether the accusations are true." Yet a widely read Swedish newspaper was prepared to publish this undocumented and highly volatile accusation without requiring its author to present any credible evidence.

This false accusation is reminiscent of the medieval blood libels that falsely accused Jews of killing Christian children in order to use their blood for religious rituals. It is also reminiscent of the notorious Czarist forgery, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. One expects this sort of thing from Iranian or Syrian newspapers, but not from Swedish papers.

Not only has Foreign Minister Carl Bildt refused to issue a personal condemnation of the current "organ libel," his foreign ministry explicitly disavowed the denunciation that was issued by Sweden's ambassador to Israel, who had called the article "shocking and appalling." In a self-righteous statement, Mr. Bildt claimed that condemnation of the article would be inappropriate because freedom of expression is a part of the Swedish Constitution." -more

The more you comment, it will become a conspiracy theory ie 9/11
Say nothing then there is nothing to comment on.
To say something is a vehicle for further distortion of the true facts

Kell Walker is wrong. The Prime Minister should have held a press conference with all the foreign media present and expose to the world the absurdity of such preposterous Swedish claims. For too long the governments of Israel have been doing nothing to counter this nonsense.

Oh, I know the answer to that one: WE'RE A FUCKING DEMOCRACY!

Well, at least we try to, and for once the government actually did the right thing (which admittedly is kind of rare these days). The government should NEVER in any way interfere with the free press. NEVER.

Ironically though, our press has always been accused of being to "pro-Israel". Admit it, that's pure irony right there.

BEIJING, Aug. 24 -- The number of organ transplants from deceased donors in China has only been 130 since the first case in 2003, one of the country's leading transplant experts said at a seminar Sunday.

About 11,000 transplant operations are performed each year in China, including both living- and all deceased-donor transplantations, including executed prisoners, making the country the second-largest in the world to the U.S. in total number.

To Wysiwyg:

You said that the reason your government did not condemn the article was that you are a "democracy" and that "the government should NEVER in any way interfere with the free press. NEVER".

By your reasoning, our newspapers could write about the secret experiments that the Swedish government is funding with toxic drugs on Pregnant Asian women? Or about the Swedish city councils that hold with-hunts and whenever they catch a woman dancing in her underwear they ...burn her at the stake then hide all the evidence. If we say that someone saw this and told us about, we are democratically practicing our "freedom of expression", right?

Taking action against that newspaper would be, as you say, interefering with the free press.

On the other hand, a government speaking out against irresponsible "journalism" and condemning printed lies by its own press is not an "interference" - it is a statement of what that government holds as right vs. wrong.

There are 2 Swedish entities that SHOULD be taking action against the newspaper.

First is the the newspaper itself, for having one of their "journalists" publish rumors and hearsay (from very biased sources) and passing them off as "facts" (the reporter himself said a day after the article was published that he had know idea if the rumors were true or not, it was just what he heard).

The second entity is the Swedish public - who should refuse to buy a rag that publishes sensationalist bullshit rather than the news that they are supposedly expected to do.

Now, THAT would not be an "interference in the free press" at all! And it would be the proper and moral thing to happen.

1. Yes, I would say that the government shouldn't say anything in the cases you mentioned. Maybe publish a pressrelease about the truth, but not more than that.

2. Most of us already knows that Aftonbladet is a joke. It has been so for decades, and most (serious) people don't take it seriously.

3. I agree that the newspaper should act on this, yes. But I thought we were discussing what the government should and should not do?

Very funny cartoon : )

Still, I think we're gonna hear from naïve people / useful idiots who claim that the burka actually protects women's rights and that Muslims really respect women, unlike us in the West where our beauty contests are a sign of moral degeneracy.

Women who think that they are liberated in Islamic societies are living in a Stockholm syndrome, and have never been to Stockholm.

At 10:29 AM, Blogger wysiwyg said...

Being ALLOWED to wear a burka (something that we actually have a problem with in Sweden where local governments always tries to interfere) is of course a democratic right, being FORCED to do so is of course the complete opposite.

I can't help but notice that at least in Sweden people try to fight women being forced by taking away their right without asking them.

At 10:45 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

This reminds me of another cartoon you once did: about a mother and daughter in burka talking about the old days. Could you possibly post that one again? It was hilarious - and scary.

Hey, if this happens at least it'll mean all the racist old assholes like you are dead, so I'm cool with that.

At 10:51 AM, Blogger Asher said...

Wysiwyg: What the Swedish government should do is what both I said and you even seemed to agree with - a statement condemning such irresponsible journalism and a statement saying what they see as the truth would be a very appropriate action for them to take which would not interfere with Free Press but would still allow them to take the stand which until now they have refused (or haven't had the courage) to do.

It's not as small an action as you make it seem.

And reading the comment underneath mine....It just goes to show how true it is...racist indeed! Not us though.

At 11:04 AM, Blogger Brendan said...

hi dry bones just wanted to say your comic sucks and you suck and today's comic is particularly racist

why is it a bad thing is a woman in a burqa wins a beauty competition?

At 12:58 PM, Blogger wysiwyg said...

@Asher; well, there's a difference. The swedish government can't make a statement to the validity of the claims, since they can't KNOW. It's the israels governments job to make that statement.

And under no circumstances should either government talk about "good" versus "bad" journalism, since that is straying far to close to talking about what's "right" and what's "wrong" to write.

I don't know how it is in Israel, but up here we have a problem with the government taking far to much liberty with censoring, so while I could agree that in a perfect world the government could make such a statement, in todays world no step of the path of democracy is to small not to be stopped.

@Brendan; since a beauty-contest is about looks, and you can't see the looks of someone in a burqa? I read about a "beauty contest" where everyone had worn a burqa, and the winner was decided upon how "moral" she was, and how well she followed tradition.

Even if I didn't abhor the mere thought that someone would be judged based on how well they follow some moral codex, it's still not a "beautycontest" since they by definition is about how beautiful someone is (in the judges eyes).

Governments should not comment on articles in papers, no mattere how stupid the article. Once the government does this, it is expected to comment officially on every controversial article, and soon there is no gap between the state and the press.

Freedom includes the freedom to write stupid, obnoxious rubbish in sensational magazines. It is the right to be wrong, offensive, and insulting.

Hi! This is Hannah Wood from BBC World Service. I work on a programme called World Have Your Say and today we are posing this question: ‘Should a country be held responsible for the actions of its press?’ We are looking for one really good Israeli blogger who could share his opinions on this Sweden/Israel situation. We are also looking for him/her to go to the BBC studio in Israel or alternatively speak to us over Skype. Please let me know if you are interested. You can email me on hannah.wood@kcl.ac.uk. Thanks everyone!

Focusing on the Islamist dress code trivializes the very real threat that they pose to the democratic world. They should be able to wear whatever they like so long as they don’t murder innocent people in the name of god.

Very well said Bones !
I ask you why is it "racist" when you are white or a Jew ? The press can say anything about anyone, but if you point the finger back, suddenly you are RACIST ! I am so tired of hearing that word. Get a life, get over it guys.
AS for Sweden, well when it is popular to be against someone, everyone jumps on the bandwagon. The Bully (Muslim Nations ) leads the crowds and even the US thru Obama is jumping on board. It is really ridiculous. But I say that I respect Israel for not boohooing everytime that something is said and not pulling race card !!

The Corleone Family Don would have sent the editor and that so-called Swedish minister a bag full of organs from pigs or weasels or other such. Unfortunately, Israel is run by frightened fools of the liberal left. May the good lord have mercy on us and deliver us from their evil.

He could also rid Israeli and American universities of these lefty Jewish traitors. Noam Chomsky anyone?

To Don Cox: Oh really? Everybody knows that there is only freedom of speech in Sweden and the UK as long as you criticise Israel, western society blah blah blah. But if you dared to criticise anything about muslims, Islam, immigrants, crime and rapes commited by immigrants you would see how swiftly and resolutely the Swedish hypocratic government would react. Yes, they would easily find the way. The Swedish media and government have betrayed its own nation. SHAME ON SWEDEN! BOYCOTT SWEDEN!!!

The cartoon is the anti-muslim equivalent of anti-semitism. Rasist, hateful, and fearmongering. The real victims of anti-semitism would find this disgraceful. All rasism is wrong, not only when it is directed against Jews.

To wysiwyg

You say you don't know how things are in Israel, so:
A very lousy comedian named Lior S. made a really bad and unfunny joke about Xtians, in a late night show (that almost no one watches)
Suddenly Xtians and Arabs (who where glad to jump the wagon) in Israel decided it was very offensive.
The president of Israel himself apologized!

Maybe you see us as primitives here in the "camel land", but at least our leaders know to apologize if someone's feelings were UNNECCESSERILY hurt.

Now, as for playing the race card, we all know the protocols of Zion elders are one big fake. They are still published and sold every year. Xtians Americans still quoting the new version of it in the "new" 9/11 conspiracy.

bones, i call that cartoon little paranoic.

At 4:06 PM, Blogger wysiwyg said...

So, someone got offended (and yes, that happens all the time up here to), and the government decided that "to hell with freedom of press", and commented on the event?

Yeah, I would feel a little bit nauseated if my government decided to talk about "bad" versus "good" journalism or what is correct to say and what shouldn't be said.

Admittedly, they do stuff like that from time to time, but that doesn't make it right.

If you want to play the PC-game, you are however going to loose. Had it happened in Sweden the persons responsible would go to jail. Thaat's right, in Sweden it is actually illegal to say/write certain things. Which in itself is a VERY good reason for the government to shut up, since they already are on the slippery slope.

At 7:43 AM, Anonymous Pandora said...

Yet it's OK for Islamists to intimidate cartoonists and the press with threats of violence and worse, OK for Canada to have "tribunals" censoring "hate speech" (only aganst Muslims so far) and for the UK to bar Geert Wilders and Michael Savage from entering the country because the government didn't approve of their opinions. The entirety of Europe is committing slow cultural suicide because they are too afraid to take a stand and they use Political Correctness as an excuse.

At 6:40 PM, Blogger Don Cox said...

This may already been commented on but, the prime minister of Sweden can not condemn any newspaper. That would be illegal according to our constitution.

The general opinion here is that Israel politicians are once again embarrassing them selfs and their own nation. (They seem to do that on a regular basis) :(

And lastly I dislike when people refer to Aftonbladet as a "newspaper" since it is just a tabloid of bullshit.

In the past the have given great support to socialistic leaders such as Stalin, Pol Pot and Hitler. Their affiliation are well known.
