Ireland suffers the same problems as most European countries, but to a greater degree. A small minority of zealots who hate Israel hijack the debate and infiltrate humanitarian charities and NGOs, and government. Many of them are tied to Sinn Fein and adopt the Palestinian cause because they see it as anti-British.
