Sylvester Night is not a Holiday
Israelis, who blithely call the eve of January 1st "Sylvester", and Jews who celebrate "New Year's Eve" as the civil year is ushered in, may not be aware of its tragic significance in Jewish history.
Bones, mit mazel 'n bruche.

G-d bless you and your work. Now that you are through the wilderness experience, may God give you at least 40 more years in the Promised Land!
Amazing to think that you have been writing for 40 years and I have been reading it for forty years - and we are both so young! This year also marks my 40 year anniversary of my first trip to Israel!

Mazel Tov, Yaakov!!!
Even some Reform folks enjoy your communications, although they tend to be misguided in most other matters.
Happy Birthday! I first encountered you in the Jerusalem Post in 1979. When you were 6! Or as A.A. Milne book title "Now We Are Six". I hope you go for another 40!!!
