Ever heard of the Priest-King, David? Or does the fact that Solomon, King of Israel, building the Temple mean anything to you?
Or that the Messiah will restore the Kingdom of Israel?
In fact, does any Jewish History or any part of Judaism mean anything to you?
Religion is the most benign force in the planet. Without it, man is left to his own arbitrary ideas. He can figure somethings out by reason, but how many reasonable people are there out there?
Religion is not the opium of the masses, it is the medicine that helps those who cannot see truth by reason alone - which is an arduous, though worthy task.

B"H - Judaism IS the blueprint of Jewish statehood. Wanting to separate State and "church" is a goyshe concept. In Judaism they are one and the same and if there is anything that we should "figure out ourselves" it is this: We should be running our country according to our way and not as we do now, according "democracy", which is a Hellenistic concept we learned from the goyim in our exile.

Great toon. Ben Gurion and Rav Kook both thought that there were be great changes here by now, they were both wrong. The religious partys have WAY too much power for the size of their population. As for the Priest-King he has been gone a Long time and I don't see any one to replace him on the horizon.

Maybe the planet Mars. Or maybe you think Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, or the Iranian mullahs aren't motivated by religion?
The US separated church and state for good back in 1833. Most of Europe maintained their official religions well into the 20th century. Religion is doing a lot better in the US than in Europe. Jews who care about the Jewish religion might want to take note.
With all due respect to ABY, Bones has the right to publish his cartoons, which often SATIRIZE current events. ABY, Anonymous 11:33, and Anonymous 12:01 should lighten up, since they know what they were getting into when they chose to comment on this blog.
Bones should block ABY and all of this crap would go away.
