PLO Blunder

America, Obama, Israel, Abbas, Shuldig, Politics, Campaign, presidential campaign, President, UN, United Nations, PLO, Palestine, Palestinians, : Dry Bones cartoon.
There has been much discussion of the bid for UN recognition of a "Palestinian" State. I see it as a learning experience, as presented in today's cartoon.

Yes that is a good lesson.
perhaps the lesson will continue on AFTER the elections.
What I don't understand, is why the SEVENTY ONE PERCENT of Palistine, just over the other side of the Jordan river, is NEVER brought into the equation ? hUh??!

Questions for the Arabs: Does Israel actually exist? Since it does, what does it profit the Arabs to deny the facts? It just shows that they live in a fantasy world of their own making.
The Arabs have had several opportunities to have their own state; why do they lie about the facts?
The truth is that no Arab leader will ever recognize Israel because they KNOW they will be killed by their own people.
The Arabs supposedly believe in the Ten Suggestions, so why do they feel that Allah honors murderers when it is prohibited?

I'm hurting, time for my morphine. I could ignore it like the Arabs ignore what Allah tells them, but when Pain gets this bad, it's morphine or passing out.

Yes, the PLO has a lot to learn and could if they are willing!
But so does the rest of the world and the fact that the PLO has given not a single valid reason, they still might get what they are asking for.

What I want to know is, why is no one drawing attention to the fact that Abbas has no political authority to do ANYTHING? His term expired 2 years ago!

That is an especially odd notion for coming from a pro-Israeli commenter. After all, the re-establishment of Israel was nothing but a fantasy back in the 1880s. As someone unpleasant once observed, "If you will it, it is no dream." This applies to Arabs too.

But beware if the US elects the wrong candidate -- the wrong Party - betrayal will continue extensively..

It is beginning to seem it does not matter which party is in power. They all will sell us out.

Anonymous: Just remember Tehilim 146: "... Do not trust in princes, in the son of men, who has no salvation. ..."

Jews should never, ever, assume that a human leader will save them from their enemies. While some world leaders have been good for Jews, most have not. And the good ones don't last long - either they change their minds or they lose their power.

Of course, this doesn't mean Jews shouldn't do all they can to enlist the help of world leaders, but they should never assume it will be granted.

Power play that is no lose scenario for Philistine. Herr Obama hasn't behaved as a good dhimmi, make it more difficult for him and present that his troubles are a reflection of Hamas/PLO/et al. muscle.

Michael IS Free: I think you mean the 77% on the other side of the Jordan River.

Apparently the world thinks that that 77% is something else (Jordan) and no longer considers it part of Palestine.

Eric: Again, the world simply wants to disregard facts that are inconvenient. Same old leaders and problems.

Good observation Bones.
Also observe the coincidence(??)that brought about Obama's sudden change in tone.at just the right time.
A Jewish congressman is disgraced and forced to resign his seat. This led to an election which brought a Republican into office in a overwhelmingly Democratic area. This in turned gave Obama a shock which was heard and understood by the Democratic Party.
Hence the politically motivated UN speech which was almost a complete about face from Obama's past rhetoric.
COINCIDENCE?????
Am Yisrael Chai. and Shanah Tovah.
Down The Think, may you have a Refuah Shlema and a pain free New Year

A U.S. president shouldn't betray Israel for any reason. God says He will bless those who bless Israel, and those who curse Israel He will curse. http://483years.blogspot.com/

The Obama administration has NOT yet vetoed the application. They may just kick it down the road with various types of delay until AFTER the election, G-d forbid.
