Road Safety (1999)
Today's Golden Oldie is a Dry Bones cartoon done ten years ago this month in August of 1999. Ten years ago I was trying to get some "color" into my black and white line drawing cartoons. The most extreme attempt can be seen in today's drawing. There are five "colors", each represented by a texture: White, Black, Vertical Lines, Dots, and the Horizontal Lines in the neckties. In retrospect I think that it works. The last ten years of trying to cut our alarmingly high road accident rate however, has not worked!
