Burning Bush (1989)

Today's Golden Oldie is from 1989. I just did a cartoon the other day about how the situation with the current U.S. President is getting "Biblical". I'd forgotten that I'd used the same line twenty years ago. It seems like we move through cycles of history and re-experience situations. The Jewish Calendar is believed by many to be a chart of our progress through regions of time. Today we are passing through one of those significant and fearful times. Today is Tisha Be'Av. The place in our journey through the year that is fraught with tragedy, danger, and misfortune for the Children of Israel. For those who are fasting today, Tsom Kal (Have an easy fast).

love this post.
You posted this one two weeks ago...
yikes!
anonymous is right!
I DID post this 2 weeks ago!!?
sorry,
bones
you did this one a few weeks ago!
never mind! (: :)
Okay, so how could I make such a disastrous blunder as to rerun a rerun just two weeks after it was rerun?! I've thought about it and suddenly
...I UNDERSTOOD!
It's Tisha Be'Av!!
With all of his faults, at least President Bush did not desire the disappearance of Israel and the elevation of their antagonists along side a resurgent world Marxism, as does the current incompetent; ZerObama.
Hitler settled the Mufti of Jerusalem in a home previously inhabited by Jews. It's only fair that Jews should lived where the Mufti's people lived. Also, if Israel is not Arab rein then why are Arab lands Judenrein and projected as such for future Palestine. Annique (a Holocaust survivor)
Now if only we could get Obama to do some burning.
BTW, a good cartoon is well worth repeating ('specially with cause). The more I hear and read about BO's activities and pronouncements, the more I wonder about his early religious upbringing. He was under the wing of Muslims as I understand it. I try not to draw conclusions on no actual knowledge. (I thought the cop was right in arresting the professor from my reading and hearing of the events.) BO, without any knowledge, proclaimed the cop was just being racist. Hmmm
Bones, it seems the more things change the more they stay the same. I heard that once in a movie, but it really rings true. Repeating the carton is much like using a good shampoo: wash, rinse repeat! Some reruns are worth rerunning!
