Now that the Main Stream Media has treated the world to a picture of Israel as out-of-control, inhumane, and indifferent to civilian casualties ...they'll be gearing up to cover the visit of President Obama's envoy to the area ...and the search for "peace". A good reason to revisit the Naive Newsman and his attempt to be accepted as a professional journalist.

Excellent Bones, right on the whatever. Bring it to next step and ask "what you call a Jew if he lives in Benjamin, in Efraim or in Judea? Well, call him a settler or indeed an obstacle to peace. Just like myself. I'm an obstacle to peace! Hm.
you can joke about it, but those illegal israeli settlements are still one of the main reasons why peace has'nt been achieved yet. The truth is that every israeli governments is aware of that, but is in fact afraid of settlers. To remove them, it needs a help form outside. I hope obama would help them to remove those shameful illegal houses.
right anon. people who build houses are "an obstacle to peace." People who bomb school buses are "activists"
if you really believe that, you need to get your head examined.
In the end, Israel stands with the hand of the Almighty. Scripturally, it is only fulfilling prophecy that all the nations rage against Israel. Though the US will nationally back her to a point, never forget that eventually she stands alone among the nations.
God keep and bless Israel.
I've never seen Dry Bones until now, but I like the style. Short, sweet, and to the point. Of course, what is determined to be "legal" or "illegal" is more so a question of jurisdiction and who controls the land. An illegally built Jewish settlement in the territories is far more likely to be demolished than an Arab-built illegal settlement. In fact, this in general applies to any illegally built structure within the borders of Israel.
A Jewish settlement is only considered an obstacle to peace if our side is expected to completely capitulate to the demands of the palestinians. It ain't gonna happen, otherwise we might as well toss ourselves into the tichon.
George Orwell would be proud of this cartoon.
@triLcat: you need to ask yourself on which land do those people build houses and what does the UN say about the legality. also, i never called suicide bombers "activists", but nice try anyway.
israel must realize that illegal settlements needs to be removed if israel wants to live in peace. and don't even mention arab settlements, because it is known who's is the occupier, who is building the illegal wall and whostealing land whom!
To Anonymous who forgot that Israel DID move out of Gaza, regarded as illegal occupation.Did it solve the problem or did it not?????
Anonymous,
Oh, really? "Everyone knows who is the occupier, who is building the illegal wall, and who is stealing land from whom"?
I think you need to do more research on the history of the region. Israel did not steal this land from ANYBODY. It was the Jews' homeland from ancient times, and although they were exiled from it, they never gave up their claim to it. If it really were the Arabs' land, how come they never developed it (as Mark Twain observed) and never even took an interest in the land until the Jews returned in the 19th century?
As far as the wall is concerned, I do not take much stock in what the UN says. It is not an unbiased body.
At best, the territories are DISPUTED, not occupied. Israel has at least as valid a claim on the West Bank as the Palestinians, and the Palestinians did not even take advantage of the Gaza withdrawal to show the world that they could manage a state. Unless the Arabs are willing to compromise on their unreasonable demands on Israel (not likely), we will not be coming to a settlement of the issue for a while.
@ Goya: you don't get it. moving out of gaza is of course not enough and it didn't end the OCCUPATION of palestinians. so there can be no peace (until there's an occupation).
@ sheldan: believe me, i've done enough researchs on the history of the MEast. forget about the ancient times... italians also had a lot of land under the great rome era and look what they have now. beside, with stealing the land i actually mean building the illegal wall and settlements on supposed palestinian or at least no one's land.
i agree with you, though, that the UN isn't an ideal unbiased body. but-who is?
Anonymous, my question pointed to the fact that what happens in Gaza now will happen in all the WEstbank areas. Arabs have made it clear again and again that they want to get rid of the Jews, never mind the land pretext.
Further to what Sheldon said, why don't the 'Experts' go and ask the 'king', 'emir', or whatever he is called, you know, the guy that crowned himself king of Jordan, anyway, ask him what happened to the land east of the Jordan River that was ceded to the displaced Arabs.
All you experts really should obtain a copy of the Balfour Declaration. Then get a large map of all the lands held by the Arab peoples. Then take a good look at the piece of the Mediterranean Sea shore given to the Israelis. Then explain to the rest of us just why it is necessary to put the whole world on the brink of war over a few square miles of Israel.
....Just a curious Gentile Canuck.
@ Goya: i see your point, but i can't agree with it. i think one can only guess what would happen if israel moves out from Wbank areas. however, i insist that palestinians are suffering under the occupation and that they need their own state with shared jesusalem. if - after getting their own state - palestinians countinued with rocket attacks, then i would have changed my mind and agree with you. but until then, i see israeli occupation and their building illigal settlements as a main problem for not reaching the peace.
israeli settlements in the occupied territories are illegal, building them is a violation to the international law.you dont have to be a genious to know this.
nthis is the one I wanted
thanks

Spot on - this is one of my favourites thus far :)
B"H - Nora, don't you know SPAMMING is a crime against humanity? Even if you make a contact or two to your website this filthy and fraudolent way, does it worth it? How can you sleep at night knowing that you are an irritator and make people miserable? I don't know what screwd you up, but it's time FOR YOU to fix it: Go and speak with your spiritual adviser, if you have one. If you don't have one, go and find one, smart.
thanks Ariel, I deleted the spam, which was on 4 different posts.
