An Arabic Europe (1973)

Today's "Golden Oldie" is from 1973. Thirty four years ago. Back then I was upset at Europe's surrender to hostage-taking. I used the cartoon technique of "carrying it to the absurd" and reported on Europe being taken over by the Arabs.

Back then the idea was ludicrous. Back then I called the new Europe "the United Emirates of Europe".

These days, an Arab dominated Europe is not funny. And we already have a name for it, which you're probably familiar with.

It's called Eurabia.
