The High Holidays, Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur
Sunday night will be erev Yom Kippur, the day of Atonement when we fast from sundown to sundown. Many jews who do not go to synagogue during the year, go for Yom Kippur, perhaps the most important day of the Jewish year, and we have the chance to greet each other and reflect on our lives and on the year past and future.
