Don't expect help from Shimon Peres? Will He Help Jonathan Pollard: Shimon Peres, Israel's President, a position which is supposed to be ceremonial not political sort of like the Queen/King of England, was part of the original Pollard "problem."
Ok, here it goes...for Pollard to be released, certain people have to die off. Peres, Cap Weinberger, Pollards handler who name escapes me at the moment who is in charge of the pensioner's political party. Pollard knows too much and might just talk(if and when released) and that will upset the apple cart and we cannot have that. Pollard is the modern day "Man in the Iron Mask". I find it laughable that Peres gets the medal of freedom award(which is given out like candy) and yet barely utters a peep for Pollard. Pollard should just write a book and name names...because me being the cynic I am...those who can be implicated and so on are waiting for Pollard to die off...so he better write his book(after all Noreiga wrote one from Prison).
It will be a long, long wait.
I don't believe that Obama, as a gesture, on his last day in office, (January 19, 2013 PG) will even consider releasing Pollard.
Bones, I've been following the Pollard case for many years now, and I may have even heard about it first from your blog.
I must applaud your dedication to his cause, and he should be glad to have such a stalwart companion in his corner.
