Optimism Pessimism (1992)

May 15, 1992

(1992) Dry Bones cartoon: Optimism, Pessimism, Jewish, Messiah, Shuldig, 1992,
The Israeli Cartoon Museum has decided to produce a travelling exhibit of Dry Bones cartoons. So the LSW (Long Suffering Wife) and I have been going through the more than 7,000 Dry Bones cartoons to select what should go into the show and catalog. The LSW suggested that I share some of our selections with you. So here's one of them. It's from 1992 and is Today's Golden Oldie.

Yaakov you were so right. Things did get worse since then.
I too am an optimist, it still can get much worse than what it is now, but we Jews know that fanatical Islam,.. bow down to Islam Chamberlain types,..Euro Europeans.. and yes even Americans and other westerners will eventually have to admit that we are an eternal People. They will disappear as did many others, while waiting for us to leave this earth. In the meantime, Israel and Jews will aggravate the haters by surviving. Is this a good example of OPTOMISM???

Maybe you could call this cartoon "Optimistic Pessimism" ? It's a good one! Congratulations on being recognised by such an elite organisation as the Israel Museum. I always knew you were good! (talented, that is!) Mazal tov.

You want to know Israeli optimisim?

Looking forward to Iran attacking us and doing so much damage that our overdraft and mortgage will be wiped out!

Shabbat Shalom to all Dryboners (no lubricative pun intended)

Please, please, please include the one where you admit the UN would pass a resolution that the world is a cube with red tassles on each point; but the troubling part is it would pass 293 to 3 (or something like that)!

There are many of us Americans who love and cherish God's chosen people, Israel. I guess we're too quiet while the haters get all the attention.
