Appeasement (2002)

January 14, 2002

(2002) Dry Bones cartoon: Europe, Appeasement, PLO, Terrorism, Palestinians, the West
Today's Golden Oldie cartoon is ten years old. I've been trying to decide how old รค cartoon has to be to be an "oldie". I think that I've decided on ten years.

So here's what I did 10 years ago this month ...in January of 2002.

Bones, the world didn't listen to Hitler either. They let him do what he wanted to the Jews. So, nothing's new at all.

Bones, you could have printed HAMAS ABAS IRAN TURKEY, and published with today's date and we would think it was new.

The contortioneering goes on--should reach Chinese acrobat position by now with head and arms protruding thru legs in complete hyperextension back bend . Sadly the USA leads the way first selling the world on the notion that Arafat was a "moderate" and Israel must supply arms for him to fight Hamas (thanks Pres. Carter) and now Abbas fills the role. And Islam is the fastest growing religion condoning terrorism as they
move to eliminate all who do not believe as they do and
establish a world-wide caliphate under sharia law.
Not the world we envisioned and fought for.

The backward bending people are not our friends. Only the ones who stand with us.

I find your comment more relative than your cartoon. The 'Mona Lisa' is more than ten years old and hasn't been shelved in favor of more modern art, thank goodness. As you can't be accused of plagiarism of your own work, please keep us enlightened as to your past work as well as your 'NEW'.

Sadly, this is all but true. However, it's worse now with the insistence of the West that Abbas is a "moderate" and we should try the same old things to "ease" the situation. Maybe it's time that Israel said no to the world, and then the West could say no to the Palestinians; at least that would be honest.
