You've probably heard the ridiculous idea that because the Mayan calendar supposedly ends in 2012, some people believe that the world will end in 2012. If not: check this idiocy out by clicking here.

Perhaps 2012 in the Mayan calendar was the year the Spanish killed of the last of the Mayans,,,

The funny thing about the web site in the link is that they have a picture of the Aztec calendar! I mean, if you are going to come up with an outlandish claim, at least do a little research, bubbeleh.

Take heart. If you check the 2012 date with the Hebrew date of that time it could be much later, for instance my secular birth day is Nov 19. My hebrew birth date is Kislev 13, which this year is about a month later.
So be optomistic and stay with the Hebrew calender which will probably give you longer life.
If I am wrong and the Mayan calender is correct and the world ends, I will graciously issue a public apology to all.
Bone's is trying to scare the world by not using his Hebrew Heritage.

David Lagesse, don't fret. If your calender and the world ends Dec.3, look at the bright side. You wont have to buy a new calender.
Don't worry, according to the my ex brother-in law the world ended long ago! And my brother-in-law should know because he's G-d's uncle! And he's got inside information.

I finally heard the most intelligent comment on the end of the Mayan calendar. And it came directly from a radio interview with a Mayan priest. He said, "Of course the calendar is going to end and then it's going to start again. Just like the Western calendar and just like the Asian calendar. Well, if he is not worried then neither am I"

I dont believe the world will end, but I think that some people will do some crazy stuff..
Wow, that sure sums it up.
I don't believe in no Mayan thing but it is sure obvious that things are coming to a head.
And yeah, it's just going to get worse and worse. If the word doesn't end in 2012 I am afraid that in 2013 we will wish it had!
