Jimmy Carter and Barrack Obama : Dry Bones cartoon.
So is Obama a replay of Carter?
And will Egypt be a reply of Iran?
Your thoughts?

Dear Bones,
One more time, you have it right down to the dog's hair!
Look for "students" next to overrun the US embassy in Cairo.
It is a replay.
The silver lining in this mess might be that like Carter, Obama will be out of office after only one term.
I think that is about 104 weeks from now, give or take 2 weeks.
It used to be 208 weeks when we started!

Wonderful observation Bones. The only question is... Who should be most insulted for the comparison, Carter or Obama?
On as more serious note, Mubarak is considered a friend????(leftist language )of Israel, and his demise could cancel out all the agreements between Israel and Egypt(90% of which were not kept).
I prefer a friendly enemy, so let us hope that Obama's middle east policies will not bring a calamity, at least for now.
Shabbat Shalom to all.

It will be a toss up between the two most inept Presidents in American history, as to which one was the worst ever, and which one caused the most damage. My vote would go to Obama. A man who came from nowhere to create havoc on behalf of the American State Department. The OIL issue, continues to be the basis of US policy. The most dangerous place to be is to believe you are a friend of the USA, you'll get sold out. Obama's claim to infamy will be the installing of Putin as the strongest leader, and most villainous, since AH. His dancing with the Moslem world shows where his heart is as well as his ignorance. He will also have allowed Islamic fundamentalists to prosper instead of being stopped.RussG

I may be ill. Carter is by far the worst president we've had beyond Reagan President Obama so far is the BEST we've had in my 70 years on this planet. He has accomplished more good than any other president since Roosevelt. Carter is a pro-Arab to the point that methinks he's put his Baptist bible away and has taken up the Koran.

When asked what his favorite color was, Carter grinned and said plaid.

The simple answers to Bones' questions are yes and yes.

And then some.

Jordan will also go down.

We will be completely surrounded by radical Islamic states.

The one bright side to all of this is "Bye bye Falastin" - forever.

No Israeli government no matter nutty-left will agree to national suicide the quick way (although the nutty-left seems happy enough to accept slow suicide anesthetized by apparent economic success and occasional pats on the head from the Euro-Nazis and Oy-bama).

We are going to have to take back our land one way or another - and from a quick glance at Jewish history and human nature, we are going to do it the hard way.

It is being rammed down our throats by Providence and we are very soon going to get up off our hind legs to hold it or die.

To Daniel AMEN. To aonymous, I can agree with you on Carter. Carter may have set aside his bible for the Koran, but it seems as though Obama never set aside the Koran at least in his heart and mind.
Each person has the right to his opinions, and I feel that for the USA as well as Israel, Obama has done more harm in two years than even Carter was able to do.
The present situation is partly due to Obama's ignorance of the middle east and it's history.

The MSM here is trying to spin the riots in Eqypt as democracy crying out. They should be looking at the Muslim Brotherhood. Only the Iranian protests that Obama ignored last year are a force for democracy. Obama is worse than Carter as he is dedicated to destroying America and Israel.

I had to laugh when some suggested in 2008 that a McCain victory would result in a "third Bush term", while I retorted that an Obama victory would result in a second Carter term. But where is the Reagan who will restore American greatness after the debacle of the current administration?

Unfortunately, our current straits are far worse. Islamic fundamentalism has spread far beyond what it was in 1979. Israel has neither the strategic depth nor the military advantages over its neighbors it had then. And the US - now saddled with a $14 trillion debt vs. one of $1 trillion in 1980 - is a declining power.

The USA seems to have a penchant for supporting the dictator because it seems to be the way to go so as to support the USA's interests, not the interests of the people of the country.

The USA supported the dictator in Cuba until the Cubans had enough, revolted, and installed an anti-American communist dictator Castro.

The USA supported the ruthless Shah in Iran because he supported the USA, until the people had enough, revolted, and created an Ayatollah-run Muslim state led by Ayatollahs and Ahmedinejad, who hate the USA.

History is repeating itself now in Egypt wherein the USA supports an oppressive dictator. The people are revolting and American tanks are rolling through the streets in his support. Care to guess what the end will be?

The only state that Obama's USA is not supporting is Israel, the USA's only friend, ally and only democracy in the middle east. He is not only not supporting it, but is bludgeoning it into making unreasonable concessions to the so-called Palestinians. What is also interesting, is that Obama is not making any demands on the Palestinians who also hate the USA.

My thoughts and opinions are here: History is Repeating Itself in Islamic Nations

And I have a few things to say about this MORON Rand Paul and his call to defund Israel... MORON is far too nice a word for Paul...

I thought Iraq was supposed to be the start of a democracy agenda, one that was going to sweep away all those icky Arab dictators and replace them with friendly, tail-wagging pro-Israeli quislings? Goodness. I wonder what went wrong.

What went wrong, nobodyinparticular, is that these bastards in the Middle East (and I am a Christian from the Middle East, so I cuss it out for all I want) is that we where half-assed.

Just as Israel & the US was in 1973, in 1982, in 1993, 2004, in 2006... etc. You get the picture.

We land in Normandy and fail to press on to Paris. Instead, we've left the Swiss of the Middle East in the hands of Hezbollah.

So disullisioned at our inability to fight for our own surival, the largest Maronite party in Lebanon has sided with Hezbollah. Why? Because no one in the West is brave enough to actually get in there and do what needs to be done; if we can't stand up for ourselves our claim to help enemies of Hezbollah is more worthless than a paper aeoroplane in a dogfight.

Nothing but spineless wrecks and cowards on this side. At this rate, you can clearly calculate the picture: collapsing demographics for European & American peoples (with steady or minor growth among Jewish Orthodox & Catholic Christians) warranting mass immigration of Hezbollah & Hamas sympathizers into the Western world.

Complete and utter collapse for Europe, and the loss of America's only allies (Latin America's obsessive left-wingedness has left them wide open to anti-Americanism).

Bones, I just had to link to this cartoon (and repost one other as well)as you hit the nail on the head as usual.

The US is a country in decay from within and decline as a result of that decay.

Carter worse than Obama? Only by having Carter operate in today's world would we be able to answer that question. One clear difference, IMHO, is that Carter was inept but apparently not purposely so, whereas Obama seems to have an agenda to promote the collapse of the USA from within.

What a balagan! What is happening in Egypt is as feared. Obama had better get his act together and quickly. This tumult requires the united effort of the entire western world, but sadly the only two countries who might do the work are Israel and the USA and now that is questionable.
If America wants to remain the land of the free, they had better be the land of the brave.
I believe that Israel will be.
Shavuah Tov and prayer could help.

I suspect the answer to the conundrum will become plain when people no longer ask who was the worst one-term president Carter or Obama but who was the worst ex-president Carter or Obama.
