I'd wager that contemporary marines -- American and South Korean -- would say much the same, sans worry about nukes.

When the neighborhood cop is either not interested / incompetent / stupid / otherwise occupied or just a bag full of wind, the neighborhood bullies / bad boys are going to have a field day.
Obama loves this. Now he can act all concerned over the North Korea threat and ignore the Iranian one even more. I am getting sick watching him campain all over the US and not doing what he was elected to do.

So, one wonders when Obama caves on Seoul building housing in the South...
He will cave as soon as the North complains and then blame Israel for starting the trend.

Look, I don't support Obama for President, but I do support Obama AS PRESIDENT, in foreign affairs as the quote states. All Americans need to.

First Justin, the cartoon of the US president is what is known as "fair comment" and is, I believe protected by your constitution under the "freedom of speech" which is the 1st amendment to that document. I'm not a US citizen or resident, and don't have the benefit of your US education, but I do know that this freedom was one of the main "selling points" of the US way of life to the world. I find it exasperating that you, and others, find it necessary to fall back on the words of an obscure captain in the US navy who's claim to fame was to make a wartime raid on Tripoli, Libya.
Second, commenting on your president. We in the rest of the world cannot vote for him, but we can express our displeasure at his actions. He has been an unmitigated disaster in foreign policy, in domestic policy and in the economic world. Yes, he does speak well, but that might just be the TelePrompTers.
So from the rest of the world, "thanks, but no thanks." We'll keep our commentaries and our complaints about your choice public. It's our only hope that you'll realize that the rest of the world does not like or respect your president. You got what you wanted, and the rest of us must suffer the consequences.
The only good thing to come out of all of this is that it shows the Palin is an idiot. She didn't know that North and South Korea are two difference countries.

By the way, a British politician, Sir Winston Churchill said that it was his policy never to criticize the government of his country when he was abroad. That is something that Americans should think about when they participate on foreign blogs.
He might not have been the guy that I voted for but he is the guy who won. He is our President right or wrong and we need to behave that way when talking with foreigners.

The point, which you have missed, is that I have every right to criticize the US, it's policies and it's president. As I stated before, I am not a US citizen nor am I a US resident, and my country believes in free speech.
As far as "getting what I wanted" how do you know? The "world" did not have a say in this mess, we just get to deal with the results.
You and your co-cititizens who cannot see the damage that your incompetent local organizer has wrought on the world are badly in in need of therapy.
This disgusting situation could have been fixed long ago with reform to your electoral system but you Americans have no idea of the inadequacies of your system and would not think to look to others for suggestions. It's NOT perfect, Justin and there are ways to fix it, but your politicians would not get as rich in office if there were changes made.

i AM an American Citizen and NOT a dc Subject. I was free born and I remain free. I am a Constitutionalist and I am patriotic and if justin is so intent on reading and quoting his mentor then I would suggest that he read FIRST the Constitution and see with his own eyes that what is sitting on hill right now is NOT Constitutionaly eligeble to even BE on the hill!
I do not believe for one minute he was voted in. I believe he was placed in because of sleeping morons that sat through all the other garbage that has pranced and postured through the dc fed territory attempting to build a fed take over and ole justin will then have only one right and that would be to suck up to them or go to prison or worse!

In 2008 most of the world wanted him to win. Whenever he went to a foreign country he got even better crowds than he did in the States (why he was spending so much time out of country on an election year I will never understand but still). Polls that were taken in foreign countries at the time showed that when foreigners were asked who they wanted to see win the US Presidency they overwhelmingly wanted Obama.
And in the US Jews overwhelmingly voted for Obama.
So, yeah shut the hell up. You got the guy you wanted so shut the hell up!
When the President of the US has such a profound effect on Israel we cannot "shut the hell up". Making redundant replies to redundant statements has become boring. I am moving to a new cartoon here.
