Obama’s Response Was Amateurish:TEHRAN - "Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says U.S. President Barack Obama’s response to his comments about the 9/11 incidents was amateurish. Ahmadinejad had said that most people believe the U.S. government was behind the 9/11 attacks. In an interview with BBC Persian Television on Friday, Obama described the Iranian president’s recent remarks on the 9/11 incidents as “hateful” and “offensive”. In an address at the annual United Nations General Assembly session in New York on Thursday, Ahmadinejad criticized the U.S.-led wars against Iraq and Afghanistan, saying the U.S. government might have orchestrated the 9/11 attacks to justify its invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq and also to reverse the decline in the U.S. economy. He called on the United Nations to establish an independent fact-finding committee to investigate the 9/11 attacks. “The fact-finding mission can shed light on who the perpetrators were, who al-Qaeda is, where it exists, and who supported it,” the Iranian president told reporters on Friday. If the U.S. government has conclusive evidence showing terrorists committed the 9/11 attacks, it should submit it to the fact-finding committee, so that all countries can participate in the campaign against terrorism, Ahmadinejad said at Mehrabad airport in Tehran on Saturday." -more
