On May 31, 2010, two events took place:
1.) Israeli troops were assaulted by Islamists as they boarded the Mavi Marmara, forcing the Israelis to fight back. Nine of the provocateurs were killed.2.) Islamist gunmen entered a Pakistani hospital, where they shot and killed 12 badly wounded patients...The 12 victims were survivors of Islamist attacks on two mosques a few days earlier, when 93 worshipers were killed.

Lucky for the Somalians that they aren't Jews - otherwise they would starve!
Outsourcing the control of the Gaza sea border and the incoming flotillas to the Somali pirates is a great use of the global economy ! The only part of the market that won't benefit is the news media - who would have nothing to report since Israel won't be a factor...

It is silly to oppose the flotillas. That only causes more to be sent.
It would be much better to co-opt them for our own purposes, would it not?
Here is one simple, obvious suggestion (I am sure there are others):
1) Israel publicly encourages the flotillas to keep coming. This alone will probably stop them.
2) Israel continues to divert all aid to Israeli ports and inspects every single item. And then transfers all the true aid to Gaza.
3) Israel diminishes its own absurd aid to Gaza by exactly the same amount as the flotillas bring in, with the message "Thanks for chipping in, guys!" The new default should be that the "world" should be pouring *their* money into Gaza instead of Israel.
4) Obviously this story will pass eventually and our enemies will still be stuck pouring their own money into Gaza. How much money does it take to send cargo ships with tens of tons of aid to the Gazan black hole? A bundle. How long do you think that will last when it is a non-story?
5) Israel should NOT re-increase the amount of aid it gives to Gaza. That is the responsibility of the do-gooders now.
6) Israel should NOT let the issue go quietly. It should publicize the lack of support! Where are the do-gooders when Gazans are suffering? The aid is badly needed, isn't it? Maybe some photo-shoots of suffering Gazans? It's a humanitarian crisis because the do-gooders aren't doing their share. What, they only help out the poor downtrodden when it serves to bash Israel?
7) Israel should go around collecting money for Gaza. The more money the Left, Europe, etc. flush down the toilet on this, the better.
If this isn't a win all-around I don't know what is. Hamas and the population in Gaza get nothing extra. Israel saves some money, highlights the aid that it gives to Gaza (ok, it shouldn't give aid at all but that is another discussion) and the big heroes/anti-semites that want to support Hamas get to do so, indefinitely, WITH THEIR OWN MONEY. If they love the Gazans so much, let'm put their money where their big mouths are.
Simple and obvious. I am sure it would not work out so simply but at least Israel would be on the PR offensive for a change.

It cannot be impossible to dress up as a Somali sea pirate. But remember Dubai. Dressing up... does not do the trick. Even killing a mass killer became less important than using some make up and some unusual clothes. No, it is not Israel that has to change, it is the rest of the world. That has to start, finally to speak the simple truth.
I am sorry, but the troops were not "forced to fight back". In the spirit of international cooperation, and in accordance with the charter of Hamas, they could have simply allowed themselves to be killed and "wiped off the map." Surrender and extermination is always an option. Not, of course one I would ADVOCATE!
Love it. With the Somali pirates also being Islamists, nobody could blame Israel. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Plus the pirates would actually be doing some good.

Please tell me: was the Holocaust survivor Hetty Epstein that dropped out of the trip because of health problems also an Islamist?

First, last and always I stand with Israel and the IDF.
Why is it, always with lets bash the Jews.
The IDF had to cheque the stuff brought in other wise they could bring in all kinds of stuff, like guns, rockets, nuclear material, and other things I won't mention that're far worse.
Gee it really looks like there's a lot of people asleep at the wheel.
Maybe when that Holocaust Surviver found out what was on that ship or boat they and left, sickness was a good excuse.
Putting down the Jews isn't a good idea, if you don't understand read more talk less.

Hetty Epstein expressed the wish to join a later flotilla with a similar mission. She already KNEW what was on the ship - so did the international observers at the port of origin.
You can be absolutely sure that if any firearms or explosives had been found aboard, Israel would have yelled about it straight away, so the whole world knew.
By the way, I do not (and do not wish to) "put down the Jews". Ms Epstein is herself a Jew, after all. I have been a life-long friend and defender of Israel.
But depriving 1.5 million very poor people who are in your power of adequate food, water, building materials, medical/disability supplies, and other really basic essentials, on top of the war crimes of the Gaza attack - when most of them have done nothing to you...
Your prophets had a hard time with that kind of stuff, too. And they weren't anti-Israel. And you killed most of them.
I have been very sad and conflicted about all this, but justice demands support for the many oppressed in Gaza (many doubly oppressed).

Four hundred children 400!! were killed in cast lead operation. They were palestinians. No matter, they are pseudo-humans like dogs or something worst, morabites, lice. They can be killed. Congratulations, your army killed very well, and very professionally. Don't say it's self defense, your army enjoyed killing them. 1000 more were also killed, not children, they were terrorist of course, "very dangerous".
HETY EPSTEIN is a traitor not a survivor as such, although she refers to herself as one, because it has more impact.
She came to England with the Kindertransport from Germany BEFORE the war, and later went on to Canada, I believe. Had she really suffered as a Jew, she would not be supporting Hamas. She is nothing more than a publicity seeking self-loathing Jew.
As a survivor from Poland, I move in survivor circles in England, the US and internationally. All genuine survivors have nothing but admiration for Israel, who can truly appreciate that had there been a Jewish state a few years earlier there would have been no Holocaust.

Ruth, please tell me: was 'the Holocaust survivor Hetty Epstein' one of the thugs on the Mavi Marmara who assaulted the Israeli troops? I'm pretty sure she was not. Which means she is not one of the Islamists to whom Bones was referring.
Furthermore, when you use 'the Holocaust survivor Hetty Epstein' in that way, it is clear that her primary role in the eyes of the Israel-bashers is to be a fig leaf for the vicious actions of the Islamists and their fellow-travellers.
You're missing a source for the second incident cited below the cartoon. You say it's on The Ettinger Report but when I went to that site and performed a search for "Pakistan" it gave one result and that was unrelated.

what a perfect analogy, comparing Israelis to pirates, since apparently the IDF has sunk to those levels - armed pirates attacking vessels on international waters.
