In-re the above comment about the agency doesn't want a 65 year old woman, etc. Ignore what they say and come anyway. The government here in Israel always crows about facts on the ground...so come here and make your own fact on the ground. The law of return is for all Jews...there is no caveat for certain kinds of Jews, ages, skin color, money and so on. If the agency engages in such selective behavior...it is discrimantory as many detractors claim that it is. The agency is only concerned with numbers and their image...nothing more. When my wife and I made Aliyah 7 years ago, the rep from the LA office told us horror stories about the economy, etc and just flipped through our papers. Finally she gave in to us. Our homeland has been restored and is for better or worse a democracy...no goverment has the right nor power to keep a Jew from returning to their homeland.

I am a Christian who has been speaking about Aliyah to anyone one who will listen and even those who would rather not hear about it. I risk being labeled anti-Semitic because this is an urgent matter.
I urge Jewish people to make Aliyah not as some trendy idea but as a matter of preservation and safety.
I agree with Bones, "Don't cheat yourselves;return Home!"
On one side, Aliya removes great talent and work ethic from my land. Yet, if I profess to be a Christian, to oppose the knitting of dry bones as Ezekiel records, opposing Aliya is to curse Israel... (not that Christians have a great track record with G*d's chosen)
OY what to do? Look the other way while illegals cross the US's southern border, in part as human shields for narco terrorists and like fleas on a pig, Al Queda and fellow travellers walk the same porous path in and out; yet wail about new construction in Jerusalem? Perhaps, "like a dog to its vomit, so a fool returns to his folly."
