Jewish Holidays (1994)

Today's Golden Oldie is a Dry Bones cartoon done back in 1994. I posted this cartoon today because this Friday evening ushers in Tu B'Shvat. The New Year of the Trees doesn't usually get a lot of pre-holiday publicity. and yes, it falls on a Shabbat this year (January 30). For a whole lot of "hot" Tu B'Shvat links just click on: Jacob Richman's Hot Tu B'Shvat Links , and hug a tree!

I know you won't post this and I understand why, but at least you will read it first. I can't believe a holiday honoring trees could possibly be considered MORE important than the holidays instituted by the One (G-d) who gave us the trees. Yes, we were made stewards of the earth by our Creator, but this earth will exist only as long as G-d wills it to, based on our allegiance and obedience to Him, not on how many trees we plant. Let's get our priorities in order!
I have to be honest with you fella, I did not understand joke if there was one on this cartoon, maybe it's because I lack Jewish background...
