Profiling
Our modern world is being threatened by an Islamist movement. It is carrying on a Jihad against the rest of us. It is antisemitic, anti-Christian, anti-Bahai, anti-Buddhist, anti-Hindu, anti-athiest, anti-female, homophobic, intolerant, and anti-democratic. It teaches young Moslems that dying in the service of Islamist global conquest is a carrying out of the teachings of the Quran. It teaches Muslims that bombings and terror attacks against innocent men, women, and children are holy acts of Islamic faith. The idea that security personnel should not treat Muslim men with more suspicion than other travellers is stupid!

I keep hearing that U.S. airport security measures are "undergoing review." I want to know-- why is no one asking the Israelis what to do? Israelis don't have airplanes blown up or taken over or almost destroyed. The reason is effective security. Would El Al have allowed a person with known ties to Islamist extremists on a flight? The time has come for American "security advisors" to learn from Israel and stop trying one stop-gap measure after another.

I remember when during the Iranian-Iraqi war between Ayatolla and Hussein, that the Iranians sent 9-12 year old boys into the front lines with keys chained around their necks, as keys to paradise, when they were killed. The culture of these fundamentalists is anti-human. We must be vigilant, and profiling is necessary, unless we are just plain stupid.

Now the US will be introducing that passengers should be seated during the last hour of the flight. What on Earth for? Do they think that jihadists feel more comfortable blowing themselves up over land than over the Atlantic? This is what I think:

El Al has many levels of security, both seen and unseen, that go into effect from the moment that you buy a ticket. They look at the people and not at the things. I travel for a living and knew as soon as I heard about the Detroit bomber that new, pointless, security measures would be put into place that would complicate travel and do nothing to secure our safety.
Airline screeners should be flying in Israeli experts today to teach them about profiling.

It's perfectly OK to be a foaming-at-the-mouth, hateful, Koran-pushing, Muslim supremacist on an airplane.

(I'd ordinarily write LOL here, but the seriousness and stupidity of this threat outweighs the humourous aftermath of this event).
I once spoke to a security officer who was interviewing me at Tel Aviv airport while I was waiting in line to have my luggages checked. She told me that their security procedures are actually not as tough as the ones used at the German airports. Anybody can verify this?
When will the so-called security shmucks and the infrequently traveling public understand that if you don't get them before they get to the airport, you're not going to get them at the time-wasting security checks. These airport time wasters only serve the purpose of covering the politicians' asses. And rememember the money wasted on security is money that should have been spent on safety.
Two threats,, both boarding NOT in the US but in Amsterdam. No "air marshall" on at least one of the two Delta/Northwest flights. Profiling? The courts (remember the Justice statue with the blindfold) is blind in the US and can't see that profiling saves lives & removes criminals from the streets. Be safe; fly El Al.
I doubt if profiling would help much. The terrorists would react by using bombers of European or Chinese appearance, and concealing their religious beliefs.
Although it is going to be harder for them to find such characters, there are plenty of natural cult victims around in all groups, ready to be targeted.
It is the same logistical problem as finding drug mules, or under-cover agents.
I travel by air quite a bit, and wondered when the carzies were going to start hiding things in their underwear, after everyone had to remove their shoes.
Part of me wonders when we will all need to strip naked and then proceed through a full body X-ray before flying, only to be dumped in a waiting room with 2 chairs and a glass wall away from the rest of the world.
Most of my flying is in the north-east, and it's out of Toronto, so the 1 hour rule means no moving on the flight at all. Not that the crazies won't figure out how to hide the stuff in a book or wallet, and obviate the need to get up to go bathroom to fix their poison. These "security" measures will not be the last ones, because the people in charge are not putting security first. If they were, we'd see the prime suspects being searched every time they entered the airport rather than the silly random checks we have now.
Another hour to the time it takes to go to New York? Right now, it's almost an even bet that I can be door to door by car in about an hour more than door to door by commercial flight.
So I got my private pilot's license. Sure there is still a border to cross, and that ads about 45 minutes to the deal. But even in a small plane, I can be make the trip in about 4 hours, and the cost is not much greater than the airlines charge and I don't have to stand in some grungy line waiting to take my clothes off before being patted down by the terrorist's first cousin. If I take someone along, we SAVE money. And they do teach us how to deal with the crazies, even in a small plane.
Profiling and smart security would solve all of this. It's time for those in charge to get smart - if it's possible!

Security and more agents is the best way in stopping this astrocities. We can't read the minds of the terrorists if they want to attack. The only way is to take advantage in providing security in every vital places in which terroristic activities are prone.
You forgot to mention about Muslims killing other Muslims because they are not the "right kind" of Muslims. Intolerance within one's own faith -- even unto the point of murder --seems to be a universal trait. Fortunately, it is also one of the prime reasons Islam will never conquer the world. If the various branches were to fully resolve their hatred for each other and concentrate it firmly upon the rest of humanity, perhaps you would begin to see more people of European or (black) African or east Asian extraction
calling upon Allah as they hijack planes or blow up buses or shoot up US Army bases.
A couple of years back, I was flying home from TLV where I live. My dad had a round birthday, so in the duty free I bought him his favourite whiskey (50 dollars - in the duty free). It only came as far as the stopover in Vienna. I offered to show them the receipt or even to take a swig, to prove that this was indeed just a bottle of whiskey (as if the seal on the bottle wasn't enough). I got angry and they even called the guards, "You see sir, the situation in the Middle East...", "I freaking live there!" Worst bit, when I insisted on seeing them destroy it, or that they let me pour it down a toilet myself, they refused! The take-off btw. was 1.5 hour late because of the new security measures, I could have made a run for it to check it in. Such harassment of passengers who obviously pose no threat would never happen with the Israelis...
I know the U.S. could do what Israel does in terms of security and screening; however, I think it would be difficult. The level of trained personnel working for Israeli airlines is much higher. They are smart and ask passengers the right questions to screen out potential terrorists. I cannot imagine the current crop of their US counterparts doing the same. On top of that all the usual suspects would come out of the woodwork to complain about "racism" and press legal challenges. So we live with more insecurity than necessary. The US has become a country beset by doubt and illogic. The fault lies largely with the media. Anyone with the leadership to change the situation is cast as an extremist, so they are all playing it safe.

Hmm. Well 100% of successful hijacking of planes in the last 20 years have been Arabs. So are they really gonna just up and change? Sure there are converts to Islam by those of European decent and there other ethnic groups, but the most radical Islamists come from the Arab world. If they can't risk using young middle eastern men (a good % of their fan base) because of profiling aren't we cutting a good chunk out of their potential terrorist wannabees? Wouldn't that now prevent them from using the most common kind of terrorist?, thus preventing most attacks? This is assuming they even would switch to Non Arab Muslims, which in 20 years they rarely have, don't know if they will any time soon.
Actually, the system did work. The pat down, no-fly lists, carry on luggage restrictions, and air marshals are actually diversions from the real security process. The TSA has magicians manning checkpoints at various airports who cast spells to disable the detonators. That way, they can arrest the terrorists for actually trying to carry out a terrorist act without falling afoul of the politically correct crowd who will whine that there would have been no terrorist acts anyway. The fact that the detonator fizzled meant that the spell was successfully cast and the terrorist was not aware of it and did not have countermeasures in place.
We also see that the TSA counter-spells are working as no airplane has explodied upon being hit by an enemy spell.
Didn't you folks hear Janet N., our esteemed Homeland Security chief, the "system worked"! Thank god his bomb didn't. These people in the Obama administration have their heads up their as*es so far they see no danger. They live in that lala land without borders of mulitculturalism.

The problem with the human world is IGNORANCE! Mr. Dry Bones assumes that racial profiling is the answer. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid. Al Qaida is an international world wide movement, not organization, but movement! The game Al Qaida is playing with western nations is DESIGNED to encourage racial profiling by airport screeners.
After 9/11, the US and Europe were on the look out for Arabian looking men as possible attackers. In the recent failed attempt of the Nigerian man, the new profile will now be African looking men. Once the dust settles and security at airports in western air space have set their suspicion alarms on the African profile, guess what? Al Qaida will send out blonde hair blue eyed nordic muslims to attack airliners. Instead of falling into Al Qaida's racial profiling trap, western nations need to figure out how to stop a suicide bombers male or female with explosives carried deep inside their body cavities.
Al Qaida's latest public boast is a threat to send out a new crop of bombers who have had explosives surgically placed inside their bodies. They are openly challenging the western nations to come up with the technology to find and stop such surgically conditioned suicide bombers.
People it's time to smarten up! It is definitely NOT the time to stupid up!

Most terrorist are stereotypicaly muslim, so we should all logically profile all muslim americans at airports right?
Most blacks are stereotypicaly criminals, so they should rightly be profiled by police?
Most illegals are stereotypicaly mexican, so they should rightly be profiled by INS officials, correct?
So, who gets to profile racists and discriminatory persons...who are stereotypicaly white (jewish, gentile and other)?
Who gets to stereotype cheating bankers, loan agents/agencies and national economists in these times of recession, who are stereotypically old jewish men and women?
After all, since we are applying stereotypes to the standard, in all fairness, no one should be immune.

First off You can't kill someone for being a Communist. That's punishing thought. You are entilted to think whatever you want, to read Communist books to support Communist Murders, whatever. And no one is immune to profiling, just depends who the target is. When Robert Kennedy was trying to stop klan attacks in the 60s was it stupid of him to think only white men to be Klansmen? Should we have profiled black and white men equally?
NO!!! Because while not all white men are Klansmen all Klansmen are white men. While not all Muslims hijack planes everyone who has succesfully hijacked a plane in the last 20 years is a Muslim.
When trying to stop plane hijackings you should profile people who fit the islamic terrorist profile.
If you where trying to stop the Italian Mafia, you'd profile Italians.
So anyone can fit a profile depending on what you are trying to stop. When it comes to plane hijackings its MUSLIMS.

While Hitler did hate alot of people including Communists, Capitalists, homosexuals, the sick or mentally ill, he did not kill Jews because he thought they where communists. His hatred goes much deeper than that. He did not think they where human. Scholars think the motive might have came from his Catholic past, and some of the Catholic Church policies of the middle ages where deeply similar to Adolf Hitler's pre Holocaust anti semitic laws.
However this hatred can not be explained by just political or religious motives it goes much deeper than that, as history shows.
Several of your links do not work and I do not understand the point you are tying to make. Jews where not suicide bombing and slaughtering German citizens so your comparison between Israelis and nazis is incorrect, stupid and based on propaganda not facts.
