Iran in 2010

The world watches as the Iranians battle against the illegitimate Ahmadinejad regime that stole the last election and set up show trials of the opposition. The Iranians are fighting the nasty regime that tortured, raped, and murdered demonstrators and dissenters. Interesting to note that, as Ahmadinejad threatens the world, he himself is threatened by "the will of the people".

And Bones, THE question will be whether Iran goes the way of Eastern Europe in 1989~1990 OR the way of Commie China in 1989 - freedom OR brutality. I wish i knew which way it will do - I want to see the first but I fear it will be the alternative. I SOOOOOO hope I'm wrong.
IT is time for all of us to go home to Israel
And, of course, Europe and the US have chosen to do nothing. There were plenty of opportunities to prevent this from happening in Iran over the past 40 years, but over all that time, nobody, neither conservative nor liberal, wanted to get involved.
So now we've got an insane dictator with nuclear weapons in the middle east.
We've been waiting for Moshiach all our lives for centuries. Now would be a really good time for him to arrive.
Have you noticed that messing with Israel and/or the Jews is bad for your health?
* The Arabs keep trying to destroy Israel and instead get creamed every time and look like complete fools.
* Saddam Hussein, who could have stayed out of the fray, announced he would "burn half of Israel" and shortly thereafter got creamed in the 1st Gulf War, and removed from power in the 2nd.
* Hamas leaders, and Gazans in general, try to kill Israelis and find themselves on the receiving end of missiles with their names on them.
* The Nazis did a lot more damage to the Jews, but had their country defeated, bombed to smithereens, divided for 40 years and reduced in size to this day.
The new Haman in Iran had no business getting involved with Israel but he just couldn't help himself. Had he kept his big mouth shut he could have built his nukes in secret with ease. At least he was smart enough to threaten Israel so that the "enlightened" nations would be forced to do NOTHING to stop him (they can't help themselves either). But now there is a fair chance that we will experience another miraculous removal of this creep from power, just like happened to his ideological predecesser. IF we merit that. Wouldn't that be sweet justice?
I think the USA should repeat what they did in the 50s when you overthrew a government the people voted for and replaced it with a brutal tyrant.
Only this time you should replace this brutal tyrant with someone the people vote for.
I'm just waiting for Ahmedinejad to pull a Dr. Evil moment, stating that he has nuclear weapons located in many major western cities -- he won't declare which ones, it's up to us to guess -- and if we all don't convert to Islam ASAP, he's going to set them off one-by-one.
bones, that's exaggregating. Iranian leadership still has a lot of support.
I agree! and have you heard or read about the trial of the seven Bahai's in Iran ? The date of the trial is postponed to 6th of FEB.
