It was always an odd alliance and I think the natural conclusion is that it passes away without a strong Pro-israel U.S.
Look Turkey struggles with being either a modern European country or a Medieval Muslim country. Either way they can't go wrong with being Anti-Semitic can they?

Ehh. What's the point in having an alliance with Turkey? There are genocide deniers anyway,(1.3 million Armenian Christians massacred by Turkish Muslims) not a country that a great nation like Israel should want as friends anyway.
Turkey is emboldened to part ways with Israel because Erdogan can sense the change in temperature in the US-Israel connection. It is a fact that Washington nowadays is openly not hospitable to Netanyahu. The only TRUE friend of Israel keeeps watching over her from above. Hinei lou, yanum belou yisham, shomer Yisrael! He never sleeps nor slumbers!
The question I have is, did Olmert really screw it up by leading the Turkish govt. to believe one thing and then doing something else? Credibility is very important.
Another reason why Turkey must be prevented from joining the EU. We've got too many anti-semites as it is.

There are more that will be coming because of a very apologetic & weak president in the USA. It is ashamed that relations between Israel & Turkey have gone south; Turkey has been very good for Israel. This is not only an economic loss but the loss of the only Muslim friend that Israel had.
Our naïve, inexperienced and MUSLIM president thinks by appeasing the Muslim world he will make them love him. The USA has one true friend in the Middle East, Israel. For obvious reasons Obama likes and wants the friendship, approval and love of the Muslims in the Middle East and is willing to sacrifice Israel to achieve his goal. The Muslim countries in that region have voted against the US in the UN more than 85% consistently, most of their people hate Americans and many Americans have been killed by them. The cartoon in Muslim Media Network about Obama is to the point! His policies around the world have been a disaster.

What is it Israel does to the palestinians? Besides of course, dropping leaflets, sending text messages with alternate routes to travel before an attack, fighting a war on terrorism with its hands behind its back-loosing the element of surprise to protect “innocent” palestinian civilians that voted for the terrorist group now trying to kill Israelis. Could you be a bit more specific about what Israel is doing to palestinians?
BTW, Turkey has a history of slaughtering, enslaving, and raping Greeks and Armenians.

If you want to read slanted reports from the United Nations-whose only goal life-is to beat down one Israel-who's members include some the worst human rights violators, and considering at one time Libya ran the human tights committee and Syria at one time ran the disarmament committee and then you still really can't see the UN for what it is? In fact, there is no "abuse" of palestinians, why would they bother with the phone calls, text messages, leaflets to warn "innocent" palestinians of an upcoming attack on palestinian militants? Name any one else that has warned its enemy 48 hours ahead of planned attacks? Everyone knows Israel values life, even Hamas terrorists know that which is why they specifically shoot from Mosques and schools. Or why send out children to play at that moment if they knew an impending attack because they know Israelis do not want to kill civilian life, and Hamas takes advantage of their moral standards. We knew Hamas doesn't care about Israeli life, that's a no brainer. But they also don't care about palestinian life either, considering the use their own people. Congrats anonymous! Still, I insist that Operation Cast Lead (that resulted in more than 1000 killed Palestinians) and israel's building illegal settlements influenced on Turkey's decision to end its relationship with Israel, because they care about Palestinians.
As for Palestinians and the status of being "victims of the world", I will ask you very similar question. Hamas' rocket killed less than 30 Israelis in last 7,8 years. In last Gaza war Hamas killed less than 15 Israelis while IDF killed more than 1200 Palestinians. Yet Israeli government has been saying that israel is the real victim in that conflict. How oh how, did they do that?
Israelis do not want to kill civilian life? Well, the numbers from Gaza are proving you wrong. Or did idf killed more than 700 Palestinian civilians by mistake?

I know its horribly upsetting that there aren’t more dead Jews, but the truth is it is because of Israel’s love of life. Israel builds bomb shelters for its people. Israel locates its military bases away from its civilian population. Because Israel wants its people to live. Hamas, on the other hand could care less if palestinians live. Will Hamas build bomb shelters for its people? Nope, it needs dead Palestinians for propaganda. You think that because Israel takes measures to prevent its civilians from dying from Hamas rockets, its a fault on Israel? Huh? In fact Hamas oftens shoot from schools and Mosques or sends children out in the streets before an attack. One of the oldest palestinian tactics was to shoot from a civilian area, pull out quickly, hoping Israel will fire back. If they don’t, Hamas got to attack its enemies without getting hit back, if Israel does they kill “innocent” Palestinians and Israel will be slammed in the media. Its a win win situation!
The facts are proving you wrong. first off, Civilians are always killed in war. That’s a fact. You can do your best to protect life (like Israel does by sending text messages/phone calls, dropping leaflets) OR like Hamas does and purposely try to kill innocent civilians (Rather it be Israeli or Palestinian life)
Israel is the real victim in the conflict! Israeli mothers don’t tell their children to grow up to be suicide bombers. Israelis don’t glorify suicide bombers or pass out candy and party at dead palestinians. But palestnians do when its dead Israelis. Hamas fired rockets into Sderot Israel EVERY DAY, usually in the morning, so they could try to kill a child walking to school. But that’s nothing compared to those “illegal settlements” right? Who cares about dead Jews when you’ve got Jews building houses!!!! Gasps!
If Israel didn’t care about civilian life, WHY WOULD IT BOTHER AT ALL TO TRY TO PROTECT PALESTINIAN LIFE? Its not like they are doing it for PR, the media will still display them as the most evil people in the world.
Why would Israel do any of the following:
1) Drop 2 million leaflets 48 hours in advance of army movements.
2) 24 hours before the IDF moved in on a suspected terrorist site they phoned civilians to warn them to evacuate. Made 100,000 calls.
3)Sent text messages,not just warnings but INSTRUCTIONS on which roads where safe to take, which schools or other buildings could be used for shelter.
4) Why did hundreds of trucks with bring food, water, medical supplies to Gaza ?
5) Why when Israel sought to close 225 tunnels (with 800 entrances) used to smuggle arms to Gaza from Egypt did IDF infantrymen went house to house, encountering booby traps along the way and fending off seven attempted kidnapping all to avoid civilian casualties even though the easiest and safest course for the IDF soldiers would have been to level without warning the homes that contained the entrances using air power or tanks?
Why would Israel even bother? The Media, the world the Un will never try to tell the truth about Israel, so why would it do any of those, knowing that it will never reach the News?

Keep ignoring the FACT that the 26% of condemnations at the commission on Human Rights refer to Israel alone and never once criticized Syria or Libya. Ignore that at the racism conference in South Africa (the one boycotted by the US and Britain) only criticized Israel and The Arab Lawyers Union distributed pamphlets depicting hook-nosed Jews as nazis and passed out flyers that said “What if Hitler had won? There would be no Israel and no Palestinian bloodshed” Ignore that the UN Commission for Human Rights kicked out the US as a member and replaced it with SUDAN, (You know the place where slavery, genocide, forced child soldiers reigns) Ignore the fact that Arab delegates have gone in front of the UN Human Rights Commission and said that Jews drink the blood of arab children and have said “The Talmud says if Jews don’t drink the blood of non Jewish men every year they will be damned.” Ignore all the lies of the UN, ignore all the denying they did about the Israeli soldiers kidnapped by Hezbollah, Ignore that the UN censored criticism of suicide bombers, Ignore that the UN hasn’t done a damn thing for “peace” The UN sat idly by as the US won a cold war, sat idly by during the genocide's of Yugoslavia, Cambodia, Rawanda. It failed to prevent wars on Korea, Vietnam, the Balkans, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. Its been a corrupt organization that allowed Saddamn Hussein to skim millions of dollars from their Oil for Food Program. Rather than helping the Iraqi people, the UN allowed Saddam to line his own pockets. In fact the only thing the UN has become is a place for Jew haters and America haters to rant all day long.
