The Olmert Monster
When I did this cartoon I thought of showing Olmert as a "Frankenstein" ...that's why he's got the bolts in his neck and the flat-top head shape. But I quickly realized that I needed to identify our out-of-control blockhead as the Golem. The Golem was the model for Frankenstein's monster, A soulless being created by a scientist (or Rabbi). For those of you not familiar with the "the Golem" you can get the full rundown at the Jewish Virtual Library :
"The most well-known story of the golem is connected to Rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel, the Maharal of Prague (1513-1609). It was said that he created a golem out of clay to protect the Jewish community from Blood Libel and to help out doing physical labor, since golems are very strong. Another version says it was close to Easter, in the spring of 1580 and a Jew-hating priest was trying to incite the Christians against the Jews. So the golem protected the community during the Easter season. Both versions recall the golem running amok and threatening innocent lives, so Rabbi Loew removed the Divine Name, rendering the golem lifeless. I always wondered where the name Olmert came from, thanks, now I see it's derived from Golem-ert. So, how do we remove The Name from Golmert's mouth?

by hte way joe biden the guy running with obama, has said the democrats will try President Bush for war crimes and then he denied this statement when audio exists proving biden is a liar.
But then i guess biden disregards the fact that surah 8 verse 12 tells the jihadi [whom President Bush is defeinding my children, wife and others i love from] and gives jihadist a free pass. How warped is biden's mind? Maybe biden is the real golem?
For readers who doesn't know surah 8 verse 12 is where in the qiran the command is given to amputate each finger, thus making them guilty of assault and battery as well as conspiracy. And by hte way surah 47 verse 4 is where they are commanded to cut peoples head off. The beheading command is also i think it is at surah 8 verse 56 where the command is repeated. About President George W Bush - he is certaninly protecting my children from islam and jihad, becasue the qiran is harmful to my children such as giving it's followers the command to amputate every finger, and to behead and has 164 verses commanding jihad.
This certainly isn't safe for my children, wife and others i feel concern for. So thank you President George W Bush.

Is it too late to redraw Olmert as Godzilla?
Absolutely brilliant portraying Olmert as a Golem. A Dry Bones Classic. But I think he may be cleverer than his critics, his political opponents and Talansky's legal advisors.
I went to the grave of the Maharal and my wife prayed that my son should not walk off his medicine course to go to yeshiva. It didn't work. He absconded and lives in Yerushalayim. I became a zeide (grandfather) a couple of weeks ago. Would I have had more nachas if the lad became a doctor? Any suggestions. I'm off to Yerushalayim Thursday.
I have a problem with Olmert being either the Golem and Frankenstein. Both were "created" with good intentions. I don't see that with Olmert.
Olmert's the evil with the changing mask, slick and charming.
