Russia's Borders (1978)
Today's Golden Oldie is from 1978. Thirty years ago! Back then the West was worried about Russian domination of the countries on its borders. Back then we didn't call it Russia. It was the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Because U.S.S.R. in Russian is C.C.C.P, I stuck it on the Russian (oops) Soviet guy's hat. The Soviet guy is, by the way, Leonid Brezhnev, then the leader of the Soviet Union. Today's news is that once again the West is worried about Soviet (oops) Russian domination of the countries on its borders.I'm not good at doing caricatures of famous people, but Brezhnev was a snap! Here, check out his photo.
