China's Olympics Problem (1976)

Today's Golden Oldie is from the run-up to the 1976 Olympics. With all the furore over Tibet, I haven't heard anything about the Nationalist Chinese team this time. * * * The purpose of the modern Olympic Games is to focus the world's attention on the host country and its culture. In 2008 the Tibetans are helping to do just that.
