Olympic Flame

Just about everything you'd like to know about the Olympic Torch Relay can be found at the Official Website of the Beijing 2008 Torch Relay. You could protest China's occupation of Tibet by not clicking on the above link. But do you think that some Communist Chinese official is checking their hits? How is this whole controversy going to play out? Will there be a boycott?Nu? So what's your opinion?

Usually I just nod my head and laugh inwardly as your wit and wisdom interlock to make me think as I smile. But for the first time on ages, thisjust made me laugh out loud, why? because I too have been conflicted by the suggestion that buddhist monks have been "rioting". This is so sharp, while the adherents of certain other self-styled religions of peace would aim to shoot the runners, you're are absolutely right, buddhists would aim for the flame. Free Tibet!
Considering that the Himalayan Sudetenland's seizure flowed in a patient Sino sitzkrieg, and with the example of monks in Vietnam, somewhere I'd half expect a few to be waiting for the chance to use the torch in a self-immolation protest.
The watergun attack could provoke another Lidice, though China's Goebbels clones would be perplexed as to whether to publicize it for its value in schrechlichkeit or suppress it, being bad for the Olympics and the Bejing Reich's world image.
There WILL be a boycott by me and the rest of my family(we have discussed it) We wont watch or conciously pay any attention to the competetions, the awards, and particularly the sponsors of the damned thing.
China is merely acting the way totalitarian(read facists & communists)governments ALWAYS act, and I refuse to give them any advantage or approval; even passive approval,in their oppression of Tibet and supression of freedom.
Eff Chine!!!!
West Rhino: My history teacher told us months ago when we learnt about the 1936 Olympics in Berlin to watch out for similarities this summer, and, true to his word, they've started already. The same agenda and charade being played out seventy years down the line...
You outdid yourself this time, Bones. I broke out laughing.
For an excellent article about "Why Do Palestinians Get Much More Attention than Tibetans?"

great one, i'd suggest it for the cagle blog!
free tibet!> CHina systematicly moves han-chinese to tibet to become a majority in the region, changing tibet into a proffitable tourist area and ensuring valuable mineral deposits.Although this is only one of many reasons to boycot. The chinese government is also responsable for poluting our world(the air not even clear enough to see or breathe), killing falungong practissioners(peacefull buddhist like movement)harvesting their organs, abusing poor people for cheap labour, allowing discrimination on minority`s or even small people, driving them to undergo expensive surgery to lengthen their legs or to whiten their skinn. Furthermore know that Beijing will not be representative for china`s situation , the rest of the country will still be a very poor sight.Let's hear our voice against these medieval practises. Jiefang Xizang!
