Today, in 2007, the world is (once again) rushing to save the "good terrorists" (Abbas and the old PLO crowd) from the threat of the "bad terrorists" (these days it's Hamas).

It's like a weirdo game of "good cop/bad cop". That's when two police interrogators deceive a suspect by playing roles. One cop pretends to be mean, violent, and potentially dangerous ...while the other cop suckers the suspect by broadcasting "understanding", friendship, and an alternative to violence.
