Post-Pessah Reality
The Passover holidays have ended and the very next day, here in Israel, a Moroccan Jewish holiday called Maimouna has become a national observance.
The way that this one-day holiday is observed is this: after the period of gorging on wonderful Pessah foods ends, and after the Passover barbecues are done, we celebrate with family and friends, (and in public picnics) the consumption of great quantities of fresh breads, pastries, and sweet cakes.
In the face of terrorist violence, international isolation, and the threat of Iranian nukes, the true heroism of Israel is that we live pleasant and normal lives in our beautiful little country.
