Stormy Seas

Here is a Dry Bones Cartoon from 2022. We have survived and will continue to survive and thrive. Posted by Sali, the LSW.

Last night was hard, with 3 or 4 ballistic missile attacks and the accompanying sirens. So I, along with the whole country, am sleep deprived. In general, we are getting fewer sirens and missiles but I am finding it very hard to fall back asleep afterwards.  Hence the yucky feeling in the morning.  I did a weight workout with my trainer yesterday but then just after I finished and went to a nearby café for coffee, we had a siren and I got to have the fun of camaraderie with about 30 other people in a public shelter. Most of them were from a gym in the building in their exercise clothes. Some were from a food supply place, some from the cafe, and some just random from the street.  Two were working on their computers. One had a child playing with a tablet. Two had dogs with them, a couple of children were in Purim costumes.
Then afterwards, I drank my coffee and took a cab home. The busses are running, but on a very reduced schedule.  Another siren went off just as we got to my building. Most stores, except for food places and phone supply places are closed. The government has declared new guidelines today, that more things can be open, but the schools are still closed.

I am going to go out to a supermarket near me now. But I am sure it has a good public shelter nearby. The government has us very well trained to go to a shelter.  There are constant reminders on TV to go into a shelter and to remain until the all clear. It used to take about 10 minutes till the all clear signal, but now, because some of the missiles have delayed cluster bombs, it is taking 20 or 30 minutes till the clear signal. The airport has partially opened today to bring home Israelis stranded abroad. But it has not yet opened for outgoing flights. Things are improving, and all of Israel has great hopes for the Iranian people and for a brighter future for us all.

Wishes for health and happiness and prosperity and peace to all.
