Crazy first week of the New Year

 Dry Bones Golden Oldie, from 1977 by Sali the LSW. (Long Suffering Wife). The news is so crazy these days, I thought that this old cartoon might be appropriate. Even though the specifics are totally different.

I have been missing Yaakov a lot lately. The New Year holiday was hard for me. I had thought that I was getting relatively over the grief, but I guess not. I really miss talking with him about the wacky world situation and seeing whatever cartoons that he would come up with about it.

The crazy world where Mamdani is taking over as Mayor of New York, and Trump captures Maduro in Venezuela, and the Iranians rioting in the streets, are just some of the things that feel a bit like we are in the Twilight Zone. We are barely one week into the New Year, and look at all that is happening. Anyway, I looked at some of his old cartoons and found this. Of course the events were very different, but I think that the statement would make sense today.
